Latest under our scout's gaze is Middlesbrough's young winger Nathan Porritt - recommended by Sky Sports reader Paul Norman.
The scout reports...
Nathan Porritt has long been heralded as one of the most exciting prospects Middlesbrough have ever had on their hands.
But considering Boro have produced over a dozen home-grown products including the likes of Stewart Downing, Lee Cattermole and David Wheater in recent years, then the pressure is certainly being heaped on Porritt.
Just as he was emerging as a youngster in the club's academy, he was at the centre of a television documentary as both Liverpool and Chelsea looked to lure him away.
As he tried to put that behind him he has continued to progress through Boro's youth system, although Stewart Downing and Adam Johnson's presence in the first-team squad had meant there was little need to accelerate his progress.
Now at 19, and with Downing sold on, he has been promoted into the first-team squad and is now challenging for a place.
Porritt has always shown a wonderful abundance of skill, mainly for England - who he has represented at various age groups.
He is generally considered a left-winger, but over the last 18 months he has been tried in a more forward role and he has adapted well using his power and pace to cause problems.
He also has an explosive shot and a spectacular strike is never far away, although his awesome skill remains his most potent weapon, but at times can be his worst enemy as he can often try a trick too many.
The scout says...
A bundle of talent, who is maturing very well - he is getting bigger and stronger, and is adapting his game - but he has lost none of his trickery.
Likely to get his chance in the first-team this season and if Gareth Southgate can harness his ability, then Boro could have a huge star on their hands.
