The scout reports...

Academy member Conor Coady is a well-known name to Liverpool fans and has been tipped for a bright future at Anfield. The 18-year-old prefers to play in central midfield, building attacks from deep and offering a defensive wall, but he is also capable of operating at centre-back. Coady, who has also established himself in Liverpool's reserves, is recognised for his composed and assured attitude when in possession and he holds excellent vision and passing ability. He also possesses a mature temperament, although a red card for a clash with Tyler Blackett in Liverpool's heated Youth Cup defeat to Manchester United in March demonstrated that he can at times lose his temper. But Coady does have undoubted leadership skills and captained England Under 17s to their European Championship victory last summer to give a further indication of his potential. It is noticeable at youth level that he possesses a more powerful and muscular physique than some of his peers and this will only enhance his chances of progressing. Coady has already trained with Liverpool's first team following an invite from Kenny Dalglish, who he worked with at Academy level, just days after the Anfield legend succeeded Roy Hodgson as manager. And it is unlikely to be long before he is a regular member of Dalglish's first-team squad, following the likes of Martin Kelly, Jack Robinson and John Flanagan.

The scout says...

Composed, mature and talented, it appears only a matter of time before Coady is a Liverpool first-team player. His achievements at international level suggest that he has all the attributes to become a star in the future.
