The latest player under our scout's gaze is France's Paul Madiba.
The scout reports...
Paul-Georges Ntep de Madiba is a player that really caught the eye at the Toulon Tournament this summer.
He scored twice as he helped France to third place, but it was little surprise after he completed his first full season for Auxerre.
Ntep, as he is sometimes referred to, bagged eight goals in 25 starts for second division Auxerre, and he is catching the eye of a number of clubs.
Born in Douala, Cameroon, he and his family moved to Paris when he was eight, and by the age of 11 he was signing for his first club in the shape of Ris Orangis.
He had several unsuccessful trials at league clubs in his early years and joined numerous teams before ending up with renowned youth side Bretigny - which has an affiliation with Auxerre.
Madiba was signed up on a scholarship by Auxerre, and he has progressed through their youth ranks.
Just over two years after joining the club he was promoted to the senior squad and made his debut in late 2010 against Bordeauex in a Coupe de la Ligue clash.
He spent the 2011-12 season mainly with Auxerre's second string, but last season he became a first-team member and he has shone since making the step up.
The Cameroon-born ace is already a France youth international and he led France's attack at Toulon, where he was very dangerous.
A rangy forward who is full of pace, he is reminiscent of a young Thierry Henry. Very raw and his touch may not be the best, purely down to the fact he is so quick, but he is full of potential.
Madiba, though, has an eye for goal and there is no getting away from the fact that he is a very good finisher.
The scout says...
Full of potential, it is little surprise a host of clubs from France and England are looking at him, and his performance at Toulon only added to his reputation.
Madiba looks settled at Auxerre and will benefit form at least another full campaign with them. But if his improvement continues, they will do well to keep hold of him.
