Ross County forward Alex Schalk has penned a new one-year deal with the club following an impressive first season in Scotland.
The Dutch forward had been linked with a move away, but the Highland outfit announced the 23-year-old had signed a new contract to stay at Dingwall until the summer of 2017.
Schalk, who joined County in October, scored the dramatic last-minute winning goal in their 2-1 victory over Hibernian in the League Cup final to hand them their first major success.
The former NAC Breda and Go Ahead Eagles player has hit eight goals this season and helped Jim McIntyre's side claim a top-half finish in the Scottish Premiership.
Schalk's deal is more good news for the club after boss McIntyre was named as a nominee for the PFA's Manager of the Year award earlier this week.
