JAMIE REDKNAPP'S VIEW
"Vincent Tan has tried to blame Malky Mackay on their relegation but they would have stayed up if they had kept him. It was a ridiculous decision to sack him but they obviously did not like each other, the owner and manager.
"Owners do not like it when managers are more popular than them and that was a great example of it. In the end, they deserved what they got. Like Fulham, they are a proper club with good fans who deserved better – and they would have got that if they had stood by the man who got them promoted."
STAR MAN: JORDON MUTCH
Jamie says: "Adapted to life in the top flight well and chipped in with some very good performances"
Mutch’s seven Premier League goals from midfield saw him end the season as Cardiff’s top scorer and his tally of five assists was only less than by Peter Whittingham. Three goals in two games against Liverpool is nothing to be sniffed at, while his injury-time winner at Fulham provided one of Cardiff’s high points in a largely underwhelming season.
