London Irish have signed Tim Curran and Mark Ireland as cover for possible losses during the World Cup.
Australian Curren has come through the ranks at the academy of ACT Brumbies in Canberra, and can play at either full-back or centre.
Ireland has arrived from Newbury, and both men will help cover for members of the Exiles' back division that will be involved in the World Cup.
Exiles rugby director Brian Smith (pictured) said that with the club not knowing how many players they would miss due to the World Cup, they needed to bring in reinforcements.
"At this stage, we don't know how many of our talented backs we will lose for the duration of the World Cup," said Smith.
"We have to plan for their absence, which is why we've taken the opportunity to sign these two talented players."
