Boots 'n' All discussed the sacking of Karl Harrison from Salford with Stevo claiming that the future will always be in doubt with relegation.
Despite taking the Lancashire side to the play-offs for the first time in their history last season, Harrison has paid for a terrible 2007 campaign so far.
A 66-6 defeat away at Catalans Dragons at the weekend has left Salford bottom with nine defeats so far, and chairman John Wilkinson insists the club had no choice but to take action.
With Harrison believing that it was the wrong choice, Eddie asked Stevo who he agrees with.
"I agree both ways in as much as it is that fear factor," explained Stevo.
"It is that awful thing that comes around every year called relegation.
"Salford were looking forward so much so that they offered Karl Harrison a three year contract, but there is no stability there.
"We all know that if you are not in the top division, then a lot of the money is going to be dwindled away. The TV money is very important if you want to get to the top and without that they had to panic.
"I keep on harping on about it, but we are not going to get stability in our game unless we get rid of relegation.
"We cannot look to the future and clubs cannot build with this hanging over their heads."
Barrie McDermott feels for Harrison but asks at what point do you put the club ahead of the coach?
"I personally am disappointed for Karl Harrison because he is a proud knowledgeable and confident coach," he said.
"But at what point do you make a decision for the sake of the club?
"They have so much riding on this year and next year with plans to build a new stadium however the decision has been made and the only thing is to do, is to go forward."
The whole episode as just strengthened Terry O'Connor's resolve never to be a coach.
"Coaches have shelf lives and every three or four years they seem to move on," said O'Connor.
"A chairman once said it is easier to get rid of a coach then sack 25 players."
