Paul: Playing it by eay
Henry Paul has told Sky Sports' Boots 'n' All show that he has not yet decided whether he will retire at the end of the season.
It had been reported that New Zealand-born Paul would quit rugby league at the end of the season but he has told Sky Sports that he has been misquoted.
"At the moment I will see how the body reacts, see how I go mid-season," Paul told Boots n All.
"Like I said to one journalist, who quoted me as saying that I was going to retire, I just said if I feel good then I will go again.
"At the moment I feel good, catch me in three or four months. Super League is tough, the amount of quality players around the league is good.
"The way how fast the game is nowadays, I am just playing it by ear but as long as I am getting picked in week-in, week-out, then I will be happy."
And the 34-year-old half back was very pleased with Quins' surprise win on the road against Hull at the weekend.
He said that the performance was a response to defeat at the hands of Wigan on the opening weekend and some honest words from coach Brian McDermott.
He said: "We gave ourselves a lot of stick after the last 20 minutes at Wigan. We really wanted to try and put a performance in.
"Mackers talked about it, we went out and responded but it was man for man, everyone on the pitch trying and doing our little bit, helping each other out.
"That's the standard. We've got to make sure we do that every week."
