Sky Sports has forged the perfect partnership when it comes to fitting out its Rugby commentary teams. For this season, presenters on the all Rugby programmes will be dressed by Eden Park.

Named after the famed New Zealand rugby ground, Eden Park with its highly recognisable pink bow tie logo has an enviable fan base within the sport.

Devotees of the label include such high profile rugby names as Kyran Bracken, Thomas Castaignede, Lawrence Dallaglio, Keith Wood, Gavin Hastings, Steve Thompson, David Humphreys, Olly Barkley and Tom Palmer.

In fact, some of the players are so keen on the brand they have bought franchisees, with Lawrence Dallaglio having an interest in the Richmond store, Steve Thompson along with Scottish ex hooker Colin Deans in Northampton and Tom Palmer in Leeds.

Eden Park is a French company with the unusual background of having been started by two international rugby players. Franck Mesnel the CEO was a gifted player with over fifty caps and originally trained as an architect, which may go some way to explaining the strong sense of design that imbues Eden Park.

As a player Mesnel bought a sense of fun to the game of rugby and was responsible for asking the players in his Parisian club to play one match in pink bow ties, thus giving birth to the famous pink bow tie logo.

Eden Park have now built a big reputation for providing quirky but wearable fashion that also reflects Mesnel's total obsession with quality!

They have also been busy dressing rugby squads both at club level and internationally with Harlequins, Northampton, the Scottish, Welsh, French and Italian squads as well as all four divisional Welsh sides all sporting the brand.

Eden Park arrived in the UK three years ago and is expanding fast with nine stores in the UK and Ireland. They can also be found in House of Fraser's city branch in London and independents throughout the UK...
