Last year's Scandinavian Masters winner, Marc Warren spoke to Golf Night about his rise to European Tour stardom.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed a competent start to his professional career having been named Rookie of the Year in 2006.

Golf Night's Mark Roe caught up with Warren at his new home and the Scotsman showed right away that he has remained humble.

"My life has changed in a few short months," said Warren.

"That just shows you how big golf is and how quickly you can get some money in the bank, I mean I couldn't retire but at 25 years of age I've got a pool table in my living room! That was one of my dreams - to have a pool table in my house.

"It just makes me work so hard so that I can go on to do bigger things. The pool table is a small thing but for me it's such a big thing just to know that I've got that there."

Warren has taken a leaf out of Tiger Woods' book and practices hard each day in search of greatness.

"I practice daily - from 10am till 4pm," he said, "but that's what you need to do to be successful - the best in the world do it so that's what I have to do to try and catch up."

Warren felt the need to switch coaches prior to the beginning of the season and he told Golf Night exactly why.

"I was working with Ian Rae for a long time and I was progressing but just felt that there wasn't anything fresh that I would be working on, so I thought I might as well make a change.

"It was coming up to the start of the season and I thought that was the right time to make a change. I spent two to three months on my own just finding how to hit the ball again, without bringing in technical faults and trying to change my swing all the time.

"Then I managed to get hold of Bob Torrance and he ticked all the boxes for what I wanted from a coach. Experience isn't an issue with Bob - he keeps your feet on the ground and makes you work hard. I will hit a bag of balls and then we will go down and pick them up by hand and then go back up and hit them again."
