A stylish batsman who is capable of scoring big runs in any form of the game, de Villiers will be the main man in South Africa's middle order. The 26-year-old has yet to fully translate his Test and one-day form into the Twenty20 arena, averaging just above 20 with three half-centuries to his name. However there is no doubting his talent, with the right-hander's lightning quick footwork and superb hand-eye coordination meaning he is equally at home facing pace or spin.
