Sky Sports News launches five new weekend shows for the new season

Sky Sports News has launched a new schedule ahead of the football season offering viewers unrivalled coverage from across the sport.

Five new shows from 'Weekend Warm-Up' on Friday evenings through to 'The Monday View' on Monday mornings complete a weekend line-up that offers viewers new programmes, more analysis and all the latest news and views from the football season.

WEEKEND WARM-UP -Tom White presents from the Sky Studios coffee bar with a preview of the weekend's football, every Friday at 6pm, featuring interviews from the world of football with Geoff Shreeves

TODAY'S GOALS NOW - Fans will be able to see every goal from the day's Sky Bet Football League action in this hour-long roundup on Saturdays at 6pm

SATURDAY RELOADED - A round-up of all the day's Barclays Premier League goals and action, simulcast on Sky Sports 1 at midnight on Saturday night

TRANSFER CENTRE - Jim White delivers all the week's transfer news with Brian Swanson, in an all-encompassing half-hour show, every Sunday at 7.30pm from August 4 to 25

THE MONDAY VIEW - Launching on August 19, an hour-long look back at the weekend's sports news and a look ahead to the upcoming action

Andy Cairns, executive producer for Sky Sports News, said: "We have an exciting new schedule for an exciting new season offering all the goals, analysis and stories that football fans need.

"More than ever, Sky Sports News will cover all the key moments and talking points of the weekend. This season our in-depth coverage will be better than ever."

Sky Sports News offers extensive coverage throughout the week, including the daily Evening Report at 6pm which captures all the day's top sports stories.

The schedule compliments Sky Sports' biggest ever season of football, which includes 116 live Barclays Premier League matches and 90 live Sky Bet Football League matches. In addition, Sky Sports will be broadcasting matches from UEFA Champions League, SPFL, La Liga and much more.

The news also comes in a week of ground breaking reporting from Sky Sports News, which on 1 August will make broadcasting history with '92Live', a day-long event which sees the channel visit the top 92 clubs in England and Wales showing a day in the life of football through the eyes of each club.

The weekend football line-up on Sky Sports News for the 2013 - 14 season will include:

2pm - Soccer Saturday (12-6pm from 16 August)

Jeff Stelling and the boys return with all the news, views and analysis.

6pm - Goals Express

A first chance to see they day's goals, at an earlier time of 6pm

7pm - Sky Sports News at 7

8pm - Today's Goals Now

All the goals from the Sky Bet Football League in one hour.

9pm - Sport Tonight

Updates from the night's live sport plus all the breaking news.
