Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie told Game Changers how he prepares for his matches.

The 24-year-old, who used to play for Plymouth and Bristol City, was promoted to the Premier League with Crystal Palace last season and managed to score three goals.

Bolasie told Di Dougherty that he is very careful about what he eats and why he does not watch much football in the build-up to his games for the Eagles.

"I eat lots of vegetables, not oily food, so that my body is in a stable condition and I am able to run," said Bolasie, who has earned three caps for the Democratic Republic of Congo.

"I also don't watch too much football before games as I don't want to get the adrenaline flowing too early.

"I need that from about 1.30pm on match day."

When asked about his career highlights, Bolasie added: "Playing games - and my time playing on loan in the lower leagues really helped me."
