David Haye says that the public have said the heavyweight division is boring without him - and they want him back in the ring again.
Haye told Ringside that the boxing public has reacted positively to the news that he is making a comeback.
He last fought in July 2012 against Derek Chisora, but says that despite not being in the ring since then, he is good enough to get back to his best.
"I haven't had a fight for two years but I am in good condition," he said.
"I'm healthy, I look after myself and I'll make sure that when I do get back into the ring I give myself the best opportunity."
Haye has previously attempted to launch a comeback but has twice had to withdraw through injury.
In June last year he was scheduled to fight Manuel Charr at the Manchester Arena but was forced out by a hand injury and in September he was about to take on Tyson Fury at the same venue but withdrew a week before after sustaining a cut above the left eye.
And of course the re-scheduled showdown never happened due to a serious shoulder injury that put Haye's career in doubt, but he insists he is physically ready for a return.
"I'd like to let these people know that I've done everything humanly possible to get myself into good condition - and I am," he said.
