After a summer of spending, the Premier League’s top teams are taking shape.
We’re asking our Soccer Saturday pundits to pick the strongest XIs of the likely title-challengers – and want to know what you think of their selections!
Here’s how former Gunners’ striker Charlie Nicholas reckons Arsene Wenger should set his team up next term once every one is fit...
Charlie's XI (4-3-3): Szczesny; Debuchy, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs; Wilshere, Ramsey, Ozil; Walcott, Giroud, Sanchez
Charlie says: "I think we’ll see a more productive attacking side from Arsenal this year. I’ve been very impressed with their signings this summer and think Wenger will make one more before the deadline. They’ll be able to play Alexis Sanchez on the left of a three-man frontline with Theo Walcott the other side of Olivier Giroud and with Mesut Ozil just behind them.
"However, key to winning the Premier League – which I think Arsenal can do this season – is the depth of your squad, which Liverpool found out to their cost last season. With Santi Cazorla, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini, to name a few, able to come in, there’s a strong, strong base now which Wenger hasn’t had in five years. That’s why I can see it happening for them."
