Jessica Judd: Competed at the World Championships in Moscow unaware she was carrying an injury

So much has happened this season that I am having a well-deserved break at the moment.

I achieved more than I thought I would and was extremely happy to get a PB this season, going under two minutes and being able to wear a senior GB vest on two occasions.

I was so happy to be only 18 and to make a senior World Championships and I have learnt so much from this season. Winning the European Team Championships was just surreal!

It has also been stressful with my A level exams happening this year. I was really happy to get come out with A*, A, B in PE, biology and chemistry, respectively! I have now decided to take a gap year before going to university so I can focus on my running.

After the Birmingham Diamond League meet, I ruptured my plantaris tendon and worked really hard to get back to full fitness. At the World Championships I gave it my best shot but found out I had been running with a stress response in my pelvis when I returned home.

As a result of that, I have now had to end my season which is very annoying but has also given me time to focus on next year and to rest and recuperate.

Recently, I got to go to the Sky Sports Scholarships launch which was very exciting and I really enjoyed meeting all the other scholars.

I am going on holiday next week, which will be fun, and I'm already planning my training going forward. I hope to be back running in a couple of days and am excited to see what will happens from here.

Hopefully I can be back in hard winter training soon!
