Scotland's Heather MacRae claimed the lead after day one of the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open with a six-under-par 67 at National Golf Club in Antalya.
The 30-year-old from Stirling made the most of ideal conditions for the early starters to card seven birdies and one bogey and finish one ahead of France's Gwladys Nocera and Denmark's Malene Jorgensen.
Sweden's Mikaela Parmlid and Czech teenager Klara Spilkova were another shot behind, with England's Charley Hull three under after carding six birdies and three bogeys.
MacRae is hoping to banish the less happy memories of her previous visit to National Golf Club in late November, when she finished tied for 10th in the Mineks Ladies Classic on the LET Access Series to end the season in sixth position on the money list and miss out on earning her full LET card by one place.
Although she then went to tour school, she finished just outside the top 30 and has limited starts on the LET this season.
"It was a bit of a heartbreaker because I finished 10th and missed my card by 40 points but the first day I played great and was six under after 12 holes and had a double (bogey)," MacRae said.
"I knew I'd hit a lot of good shots here so I think that's helped coming back. I love the golf course. You have to be a reasonable length off the tee and straight and I did it most of the day so I'm happy.
"I think it's my lowest round as a professional but I missed a couple of eight footers as well. Hopefully I'll have learned from the Access event and it's one shot at a time."
