Winter Olympics hopeful Rowan Cheshire says it will be a 'dream come true' to participate in next month's competition in Sochi, Russia.
The 18-year-old freestyle skier is a serious contender for a medal having claimed gold at the World Cup this month.
Cheshire is one of Team GB's 19 snowboarders and 19 skiers to make the trip to Russia and she cannot wait to show off her skills.
"I'm just over the moon, I can't believe it. It's a dream come," she told Sky Sports.
"I've been watching the Olympics since I was a kid. Never really thought I'd be here, especially starting the sport when it wasn't in the Olympics.
"It's amazing, I'm so happy."
Cheshire insists freestyle skiing is a bit like skateboarding, but on snow, continued: "I explain it like skateboarding. The half-pipe is skateboarding when it's made of wood.
"People go up and down and do tricks. I explain it like that, but a lot bigger scale and made of snow obviously. That's basically it."
