Why I Love the World Cup - Botham
Sir Ian Botham tells Sky Sports Why he Loves the World Cup
With England's kick-off against Italy now just 11 days away, Liverpool's new striker, Rickie Lambert, talks Sky Sports through his favourite World Cup memories.
Everyone remembers Gazza's tears or David Platt's volley from Italia '90 but not all of us get the chance to follow in the footsteps of our heroes. Lambert tells us why he cannot wait for the World Cup.
Ones to watch
No.9 - Diego Costa
The Brazilian-born Spain striker made his second international debut this year after a fantastic season with Atletico Madrid. Brazil's loss is the reigning champions gain and if he can recover from his Champions League final injury, the fiery forward will head into the tournament with a real point to prove.
Who to follow
No.9 - @StellingJeff
Sky Sports anchorman Jeff Stelling has become a household name with his quick-fire quips and expert handling of the rowdy Soccer Saturday crew. Given that his Twitter profile picture features Nicole Scherzinger draped around him, expect football views and whole a lot more.
World Cup greats
No.9 - Gerd Müller
Fourteen goals in 13 World Cup appearances put Müller (left) joint second on the all-time top scorers list. The match winner in the 1974 final was the German's final goal for his country and the perfect way to bow out. It was his fourth of the tournament to go with the incredible 10 he managed in 1970.
