Shane McMahon continues to put his body on the line in WWE at the age of 48

Shane McMahon has undergone surgery to repair a hernia injury.

McMahon, who is currently the on-screen commissioner of SmackDown, most recently competed at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia last month.

He had been a doubt for his match at WrestleMania earlier in April, in which he was teaming with Daniel Bryan against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, due to diverticulitis and several other problems stemming from that condition, one of which was the hernia.
