Bobby Roode will go on-one-one with Andrade "Cien" Almas at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II during SummerSlam weekend.

NXT General Manager William Regal made the blockbuster announcement shortly after Mexican luchador Almas had defeated Angelo Dawkins via a DDT on Wednesday's edition of NXT.

Asuka will also be in action at TakeOver: Brooklyn II on Saturday, August 20, with the Japanese grappler defending her NXT Women's Title against former champion Bayley.

Asuka and Bayley's official contract signing took place this week and was tension-filled, with the challenger refusing to accept the champion's offer of a handshake and barging past her as she left the ring.

Elsewhere, Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano - who will face NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival at TakeOver - overcame Tucker Knight and Patrick Clark.

NXT Champion Samoa Joe proved too strong for Mojo Rawley in a non-title tussle - before security personnel had to stop him brawling with TakeOver foe Shinsuke Nakamura post-match.

Billie Kay bested Liv Morgan with a big boot during a women's division match, while The Authors of Pain pummelled two duos - beating Rob Kimball and Adrian Nails in a match and then decimating TM-61 as the Australian pair made their way to ringside.
