It was an episode of Monday Night Raw in Tampa, Florida when Paige last featured in a WWE match.
She teamed with Sasha Banks to defeat Charlotte and Dana Brooke in the opening match on that June 27, 2016 episode at the Amalie Arena.
There was a certain symmetry to her comeback match being against Banks, but the Monday night scenery has changed significantly in the weeks and months Paige has been away.
And so too has Paige. Eighteen months ago she was firmly on the babyface side of the divide but today finds herself as the leader of the Absolution faction, a group which has made a habit of three-on-one attacks in their fortnight in the company so far.
The odds were evened slightly by the presence of Bayley and Mickie James at Banks' side for the match against Paige, the duo in place to counterbalance the threat of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.
