WWE Raw: Kevin Owens and Bobby Roode qualify for Money In The Bank
Last Updated: 15/05/18 8:09am
Kevin Owens and Bobby Roode became the latest competitors to qualify for Money In The Bank, at Raw in London.
Owens made the most of a second chance, having failed to make it through a qualifying match against Braun Strowman the previous week, after seemingly calling in a favour from Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon.
He was a replacement for Jinder Mahal, who was injured by Roman Reigns in a backstage attack, in a triple threat qualifier which also included Bobby Lashley and Elias.
Owens picked up the win with more than a little help from his on-off friend Sami Zayn, who wiped out Lashley with a Helluva Kick when it appeared he had the victory in the bag.
Alexa Bliss joined Ember Moon in the qualifiers for the women's Money In The Bank ladder match by progressing through a triple threat match against Bayley and Mickie James.
Rollins made excellent defence
Owens had been in action earlier in the night when he came up short in a superb Intercontinental title match against Seth Rollins.
The Kingslayer has been in excellent form for the past few months and continued that with another outstanding in-ring display in an all-action back-and-forth match with Owens.
The O2 Arena crowd chanted, "This is awesome!" at several points during the 15-minute contest, which was won by Rollins with a Stomp.
'Debut' victory for the B Team
The pairing of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel got a great reaction from the London crowd and, after announcing their name change from the Miztourage to the B Team, picked up a significant win.
Breezango, themselves the subject of a great reception from the crowd, provided the opposition but were unable to follow their Raw debut win over The Bar with another success.
Axel and Dallas hit a combination neckbreaker and Dallas pinned Fandango to spark wild scenes of celebration from a duo who have become accustomed to taking losses.
