Man United endured a derby day to forget as they suffered a 6-1 thumping at the hands of Man City at Old Trafford on Sunday.Back to story
Well done City after the first goal you looked awesome. Sir Al needs let his heart strings go and move Johnny Evans on to pastures new. All the City class shone through thanks to Johnnys inability to deffend at the highest level. Balotellis goal came after Johnny was ball watching and gave him a couple of yards then five minutes later Johnny couldn't even get a free shot on target from a corner and finally he gave Balotelli another yard before having to pull him back when he was sent off! Fergie believes in Johnny for some reason, but when you look at united's goals conceaded this seaon they manily come past Johnny Evans or his side of the pitch! Teams know he is an easy target now Fergie, move him on!

For those Arsenal fans that are bleating about "1st team players etc etc .. The facts are 1. Every team has a SQUAD they are all 1st team players to be called upon in case of injuries - so stop bleating like babies 2. Man United had already stuck FIVE past you before you had a player sent off (so it made no difference you were outclassed from the off). Man United were in contention until the sending off and no team in the league would have stood up to that onslaught with only 10 players ... Great result for City but it far from the 8 -2 drubbing Mn United dished out to the crappy Arsenal .. Man United are 2nd for a reason .. Doubt Arsenal will scrape into the top 6 let alone 4 ...

A bad performance and a good reminder to us that City are a massive threat and we need to raise our game. Last 5 minutes were shocking, we should have taken a 3-1 defeat and seen the game out. Why didnt Vidic start? Evans should never be involved in games like this. Valencia should have play instead of Nani and Jones should have played in front of the back 4. We have had a tough start to the season and with Everton away next we need to improve and get 3 points otherwise City will open up a big gap. Its by no means over with lots of points to play for but we need to get this result out of our system quickly.

Good win for City, not an amazing performance, just a poor United display. I don't think City will get far into the CL though. They seem to be very tired in CL matches. Maybe a PL title this year, but I seem to remember they were near top at xmas last season and it went downhill after that.

we were poor today,we need a world class midfielder alongside cleverly when he comes back.and why didnt jones play alongside ferdinand.but its only one game city have got to play chelsea ,liverpool, arsenal etc.weve been down this road before back at the top by xmas.

@"Stu the blue Reeves" Man U earned the money they spent not like you and Chelsea with your corrupt Sugar Daddys. IF you do win titles you will be remembered for buying them. Pathetic Club and bunch of Fans.

No Excuses, we were out played, City were brilliant, a reflection of what United were. Enough talk about the money they have, if United were taken over by a Sheik tomorrow, I really doubt we would complain. So they were the better team, we have players that are below standard, Ferdinand, Evans, Fletcher... they need to go, its time to bring in a quality mid to link up with Cleverley...Anderson and Cleverley are a great partnership but we need cover if one is injured...

Just Checked out transfer spend over 20 years of Premier League, United have spent £480m and city spent £655, but most of city's has come in the last 5 years. when players have become more expensive. If your club had the wealth, you are really telling me you wouldn't want to buy the best players to compete? United were beaten by a team hungry for the win, sending off changed the game? yes it ended up 6-1 instead of 3-1. United down to 10 men normally still win, but the pressure told and united fell apart, very unlike united.

Yes, this was a disgraceful defeat, but I think, with due respect, Fergie had a hand in it. It looks like Fergie does not respect his opponents, as he always get it wrong these days, especially against big teams. He started with CL final against Barcelona, followed it up with the last game against Liverpool and concluded with yesterday's game against MCFC. Against all these teams, he fielded very weak teams. When I saw the line-up, I immediately became nervous even before the game kick-off. Rio Ferdinard- old and slow Johny Evans - unreliable and risky and this was proven Anderson- unreliable non-creative should be sold Darren Fetcher- He lacks something which I cannot specify Against a star-studded team like MCFC which try its level best to shame ManU, the defence should be very very very solid and I would prefer Vidic, Jones or Smalling or Fabio and Evra. In the midfield, Nani, Rooney, Young and eitherPark or Giggs, upfront Hernandez and Wellback. I am sure this team would have put the big spenders to shame.

Yes, embarrassing. But stuffing us 6-1 playing with 10 men and playing like a bunch of sunday league players still doesnt win you any trophies. The 'moon' is still red, and wont be turning blue until you start to win major trophies. And no doubt i no City will win the league very soon and more. Its good for the english game and also means Liverpool will be even more down the pecking order! we are 9 games into the season, 29 more to go, dont get carried away with yourselfs.. United in 2008, drumming by chelsea, won the treble... Chelsea last season, started all guns blazing. Ended up winning nothing. Bad bad result but maybe we needed a kick in the teeth, lets see what the table is looking like in January. Johnny Evans should never put on that shirt again. Why fergi went with him in defence god knows!!

Great result for City today. Most fans will say they were the better team today except a few splitting hairs about the ref. City for me have better quality in their team then Utd, but with the experience Utd have, you can't write them off. Will be interesting season. Utd have been doing this to teams for years so its nice to see them on the recieving end. Finally, who ever said money can't buy success.

Jonny Evans is a joke!!! Can't believe he starts so many games. So many of his mistakes are critical and lead to goals, free kicks just out side the box, red cards etc....!! Man U still need a new centre half who is at his peak to replace Rio (and Vidic in a couple of seasons) and a dynamic all action midfielder, again at his peak (cleaverly aint there yet)!

Not sure why so many people are surprised by the score line? United have been rubbish for the past month, a hammering has been on the cards. Norwich could have beaten them, you snatched a last min equaliser against Basle and brought 7 defenders to Anfield. City were in charge of the game prior to the sending off, so you can ditch that excuse. Well done City, in Silva you currently have the best player in the PL,
