newcastle need to splash out on a creative midfielder. hambergs attacking midfield gem 'Van Der Vaart' is awesome, and i'm sure the dutch ace would be a brilliant signing for the club.................

Jimmy bullard aint worthy of playin for the mags. We need a new central defender to play alongside taylor and a couple of decent young strikers to repace owen, viduka and ameobi. They arent doin well enough for us.

Im a Villa fan, but i have to totally disagree with everything Simon Bozward says. If Villa really want to push forward next season, yes, they need to spend the money, but not on the type of players that Simon says. James Beattie couldnt cut it at Everton and that was 4 years ago so why would he be better now? John Stead is never going to be premiership quality and people just need to forget about Henry leaving spain. ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!! Carr and Gerimi are to old and i cant see how they would benefit the team. Roy Carroll is not as good a keeper as Sorenson and hes our third choice! Next season we will have the money and if we really are to contend with the top 4, then we will have to spend big, but on players who can really improve the team not just cheap choices but quality players who really can help Villa break into the elite group.

I think Beattie will be great for Villa, or maybe Jon Stead. Would like to see Kalou from Chelsea come in too. Naturallyy we have the money so Henry from Barcelona has got to be a thought if we can convince he to come to Birmingham. We need a right back, so maybe Carr or Geremi from Newcastle would be cheap choices? If Carson goes back to Liverpool, then Roy Carroll of Derby is a good choice. He has experience and had plenty of practise this season. ASTON VILLA top four next year?

I would love to see Lampard go to Spain, i think he will be found out in the first 2 months, what does he do, I would be incensed if he played for spurs and wanted 140k+ a week and all his silly image rights!!!!! Nice to see Fergy scared the refs to death again this weekend and Mascherano gets sent off for talking to the ref, all out of the Ashley Cole/Chelsea debacle against Spurs - who incidentally get away scot free, I hope Capello has the guts to give the Captains armband to someone worthy and not Terry anymore, the man is an embarrassment as are all the whingers at Chelsea. I never see Spurs do it! Would love to see Villa sign for Spurs, and Bent you repaid a lot of your fee this weekend fella, well played, great substitution Rocky Ramos! Next season top six for us.

I'm a spurs fan who lives in Spain and seven out of the nine Sunday newspapers here are carrying reports that David Villa has agreed a pre-contract with Tottenham. It has been reported for a few months that Villa wants to leave Spain and it seems that Spurs have won the race for the striker. The fee in each paper varies between ¿24m and ¿33m. The fact that so many national papers have run the story makes me think it must be true.

Liverpool have agreed a deal in principle to sign Antonio Lopez(left back). Riise could be a surprise departure this summer. They have also enquired about the availablity of Mati Fernandez (playmaker) although no offer has been made. They have also been in talks with Stuttgart about Mario Gomez (striker). They are also scouring the market for a top class right sided option.

Dave Nugent to stay for the time being. I can't help thinking that Harry's prowess at picking players must have involved a crystal ball as far as Nuge is concerned. He needs to play and build his skills and he must go on loan next season. I can't see Harry taking a loss by selling him off though. Nugent needs to rekindle his goal scoring now his fitness and commitment to training have improved and he will only do that by playing competitively. Mind you a couple of goals as a late sub against WBA and then again in the final won't do him or his price tag any harm.

I hope James Beattie doesn't even think about coming to the Villa, Villa fans will remember when he decided to join Everton instead of Villa because of money and we all saw what a great job he did for them. He is a has been he's got no speed and simply is not premiership quality anymore. He will be a big waste of money for any club he moves to.
