Dis-jointed, lacklustre, boring, wrong formation to start with, Rooney up front on his own a no no and so many more negatives can be thrown into this so called performance! Was hardly worth the French fielding a goalkeeper at all. All the build up to this being a first real test of Capello's tactics and boy did he get it wrong! What this footballing nation needs is a solid England performance with passion, regardless of the result. We did not get that tonight and i really can not see how Capello is meant to be the savour of english football when his tactics for tonights game were so wrong. All we are asking for is a bit of passion when you throw that england shirt on guys for petes sake!!!!!

Nothing to take out of this game; it's only a friendly and an away one for that matter. I can see ome doubting Thomases now suggesting he need to resign. The truth of the matter is that it will take a long time for him to achieve anything with the rabble of players he has. England team has a long way to go yet, folks.

How can we live in a world where Downing is considered an international level player? I really hope after tonight that we never see him again. Something very wrong with Gerard thats for sure - awful performance - again. One more step on the learning curve, pretty disciplined generally, but a real lack of imagination and creativity. Lets not do that Crouch / Owen thing ever again please. Formations need to be flexible to deal with whats in front of you on the day, especially during the match. We are some way off being that adaptable, it needs more practice. Maybe English players just can't do it! Fantastic to see Becks get his 100, and he played better tonight than Bentley!

until the FA realise bringing back the rule of at least a minimum of 6 ENGLISH players per team is the best for this country, english football is going nowhere, they can put GOD in charge & our bunch of losers will still be rubbish.

Garbage. Ditch Beckham and move on . Same old garbage. The 100 games for Beck brigade have got there wish now retire please all go away forever more. What a waste of 90minutes of my life watching that dross. Not one shot on goal by an England player. Pathetic!!!

As a Scotland supporter I have to laugh at the England result. The Scots managed to beat France in a major qualifying tournament both home and away and England couldn't even beat them in a friendly, so much for English football superiority. I just wonder what the excuse will be? Why can't they just admit that they are not good enough. Oh! and well done to Scotland for getting a draw against Croatia, another thing England couldn't do.

After watching the match i have come to the conclusion that we will probably never win any competition with the players we have at the moment, There is a lot of talk about the players not performing in internationals as well as they do in the league, this is because they play with a lot of very good foriegn players, they do not play tegther enough to get the consistancy and the understanding between the players. The premier league needs to be reduced, and maybe introducing the winter break where the international players can get together and train and maybe play more games together.

well the honeymoon period is over and now cappello now knows the extent of his job, players devoid of ideas, can't seem to cross a ball ,after watching the game on tv i can only conclude that its going to be a long hard struggle to qualify for the next world cup, thats indeed if we do. if anyone doubts me just ask yourself how many shots did england have on target against france and how many clear or half chances were created,i hope i'm proved wrong but on the showing of the last 2 games i can't see any difference from what we saw under steve maclaren.
