Mark Thomas (Manchester United fan) says...

The damage was done against Everton. This game just made it painfully obvious that we are over reliant on Rooney. When he doesn't play well, United don't play well and there is no alternative on the bench. It seems ridiculous to say, given the size of our squad, but this isn't the only area we need reinforcements if we are to challenge for the league and in Europe next season. We are weak at both full back positions and previous United teams wouldn't have been bullied off the ball in midfield as easily as City managed tonight. It will be interesting to see who United bring in over the summer. In the mean time we'll just have to take it on the chin.

Sorry but Fergie lost utd this with the standoffish tactics of playing 4-5-1 he isolated rooneys game and he was non existent and could never feel the game even when Danny came on, the decision to bench our best player of the season ( Valencia) and bring him on so late on in the game is beyond me!!! Should've been 4-4-2 all day and if we where good enough to beat Citeh then it would've happened , But Citeh won a deserved victory and have one hand on the title!!!

Steve Nixon (Manchester United fan) says...

well so much for going for a win....leave young and valencia out doesn't seem like an attacking team without them. playing without them does not help rooney.....nani not up it at the compared to those two. welbeck been playing well and linking up but to leave him off for so long was madness. we got what i expected....nothing!

A sad day for football. Money should never be a factor in a club winning trophies. Oh well, the oil will run out soon and city will be back where they belong, the football league.

Mat Lag (Arsenal fan) says...

Poor devils... they didn't get their usual share of decisions, they barely got a little more than they should... and only 5 or 6 out of play balls that should have gone to City... plus they didn't get their 9mn emergency additional time. How can you expect them to win in these terrible conditions? Come on City, the whole world is behind you!!
