    this is wrong, the referee has just had a massive impact on arsenal beating the best team in the world and arsene wenger shouldn't be intitled to his opinion on the matter. i think its a disgrace and i feel for arsenal fans as once again, a referee has got the decision wrong and arsenal has to pay for it with not only getting knocked out but by getting cherged

    It's just goes to show how much of a farce this sending off was with supporters from other teams all saying the same thing. The ref should be suspended for months even for years for this as it was the worst sporting decision since Maradonna's 'Hand of God' UEFA will charge Arsne and not the ref because as an organisation, they have as much of a clue about the game as the ref and that unfortunatly in ZERO.

    Why is anyone supprised by UEFA, there has been an agenda to ensure that English teams don't progress ever since Platini took charge. All through the game the ref gave Barcelona every decision as if he was given pre-match orders to ensure Arsenal didn't get through. As soon as busketts put the ball in his own net, you could see the panic in the refs face as if to say "That's not in the script!", which was when he looked to send anyone in arsenal shirt off, just to be safe! Ten minutes later Messi does the same as Van Persie & not a Yellow card in sight ! Add to that that not one Barca player was booked for the constant theatrics when ever an Arsenal player dared to try to get the ball from them, the sheer one-sidedness wasnt even trying to be hidden. All I can say is good luck to Spurs, United & Chelsea, you now know that there is a good chance you are playing against two teams when you take to the pitch for your 2nd legs. Be Prepared!

    So this is what uefa want to teach our children? You can grab a guy around the throat and walk away scott free but if you rightfully complain about a very poor decision you will get punished .The match was watched all over the planet last night and i still havent heard anyone say that was a "fair" sending off. yet when our Manager says what everyone else is saying he gets punnished for it. So the world is wrong and that ref is right then uefa?

    Absolute Joke, ruined the game. If RVP was on the park he would have buried that chance that Bendtner wasted. I have no doubt about that. I'm no arsenal fan but I can't stand seeing a team cheated like that. Something has to be done. The English FA should take a stand.

    I cannot understand how Arsenal can be punished during the match by a horribly biased ref and then punished again by UEFA because of the refs poor decisions. That ref destroyed the sport last night! I believe that UEFA must implement video technology from now on when dealing with red card decisions. I really hope that referee never get¿s to stand on a football pitch ever again!!!!

    The real trouble is .. Wenger and Ferguson are the biggest moaners and bad losers in football !! . Whenever Arsenal and Manchester united lose they all always rant and rave at the refs etc . Blame this , blame that . Biggest over rated managers in the country . A real manager is someone with a shoe string budget with hardly any money to buy new bootlaces that guides a team up the leagues , not like these two idiots with millions to spend . Spoilt brats the pair of them ! .

    The referee must have felt embarrassed after the decision that he made. Like many referee's have probably felt recently. The problem is that they have to make quick decisions and when making decisions with haste you are more liekly to make mistakes. Video refereeing would offer more time and a 2nd look at incidents. This would stop referee's ruining games and thus causing more violence from fans that feel hard done by

    Well SURPRISE SURPRSE arsenal fans sticking up for wenger having a go at the ref for having a poor game....but when fergie has a go at a ref (chelsea game) all arsenal fans. kop fans etc jump on his back and say hes bang out of order! @Dave james - The difference in UEFA not doing anything about rooney is because it has nothing to do with them!! thats why we have the F.A. This was a Uefa compitition that arsenal was in thats why they have been charged! Duh!!

    Absolute nightmare of a ref! We had a chance with 11 men, I knew we would get chances in the 2nd half but with 10 men it was impossible. Everyone keeps saying look at the stats but most their shots came when RVP had gone! Much respect going out to the other prem team fans, refreshing not to see the usual rubbish saying we Arsenal fans/players/manager are just moaning because we lost. Come on Arsenal!

    There's no point in posting here guys - injustice is now part of the game. It's sad, but even if people complain about poor referee decisions, the people are ignored by everyone. Even by each other. For exaple, there are a number of Arsenal fans that posted on the United vs Chelsea match saying things like 'what goes around comes around'. I hope you realise now, it isn't the case. Having decisions go against you in such a big game is different to Wigan, and this is the same. We need to get behind each other. Last night was a disgrace, UEFA and the match officials should all be deeply ashamed. But they never will be. That's life.

    yes it was a great game but 2 things its not the players falt if they cant hear wistle the problems with refs these day some on of then take sides and its hardly notacible but its the truthrobin van persie dident deserve that second yellow yesterday i saw everything and it was stupid decision by the ref if you look yea we had all the yellow cards and bacelona had non wtf i saw a few dives and fouls from bacelona the match was a joke and i think they should have a replay and have a differnt ref

    this is one of the reasons why im watching football matches less and less, i love and live football i play it 7 days a week and referees such as this one is a disgrace :O ill have to watch what i say incase uefa ban me :P poor refereeing decisions such as this are ruining the game it happened when chelsea played barca few years ago it happened when rooney elbowed the wigan player (btw i am a utd fan but im not biased lol) and now it happened against arsenal, uefa can now basically pick teams even though they give you a 25 preliminary squad if you change this squad too much u get penalised :/, bring back freedom of speech players, managers and owners are able to be criticised so why arent referees... UEFA DNT HAVE A CLUE!!!

    OK so another ref puts on a yet another poor performance. But I have to say I am starting to get concerned that every time Barca get to a semi there is a lot of controversy. for example chelsea vs Barca about a million hand ball appeals, inter vs Barca (although inter went through) motta sent off and now last night well we all know what happened there, is it possible that having the to many English teams in the competition is bad for it....UEFA seem to think so.
