Guillem Balague on Falcao's future, Puyol's new deal and Modric's Madrid role

In recent weeks I've received a lot of questions from people wanting to know more about the transition at Barcelona between Pep Guardiola's side and the team under Tito Vilanova.

Hi Guillem, I've been so impressed about Chelsea's present season performances both @ the Premier League front and the Champions League as well but their recent fall @ the Ukrainians' home makes me so much afraid they might hardly qualify out of the knock-out stage. What can u say about these defending champions?

Hello Guillem. I enjoy reading your columns and keep up the awesome work. My question to you is with the ballon d'or debate in full flow, why are only messi and ronaldo considered the only candidates worthy to win it? Why not iniesta or xavi? They have achieved more than both the stars at club or international level. It's high time the jury who decides such awards overlooks the super star status and gives it to any of the spanish magicians.

Hi Guillem, Great insightful column as always! My question is regarding Atletico Madrid. If Falcao goes in January or next summer for the buy out clause, who will Atletico target to replace him. With the huge tax bill hanging over the club will there be money left over to fund a new hitman or will the club be dependant on Diego Costa and Adrian with all the money made from Falcao paying off debts? Also will the impending move from the Vicente Calderon accross town enable Atletico to increase their turnover? Is the new stadium construction/redevelopment costing Atletico every spare penny at the moment? Thanks

Hi Guillem, I was wondering how you would rate David de Gea's start to his Manchester United career? Filling the gap left by Edwin van der Sar's departure was a massive challenge but he appears to have made a solid start to life at Old Trafford - do you agree? Also is there any truth in speculation from Spain that the former Atletico Madrid stopper is homesick? Thanks in advance.

Hi Guillem really enjoy the blogs and comments you put on here, are there any foundations to the De Gea to Real Madrid rumours? Also do you think Neymar will be a barcelona player next year?

Hi Guillem, I just wondered what the latest was on Fernando Llorente? Is he leaving in January or next summer and which teams are in the running to sign him as i see he hasn't being starting games for Bilbao, Arsenal keep getting linked with Llorente and also Adrian Lopez but both will surely cost more than Arsenal usually pay which is round the £10m mark.

Hi Guillem, big fan, my question is in regards to Dani Alves. I'm an avid Barca fan; me and my dad catch every game. Dani Alves often comes off as the weak link for us. Aside from his speed and stamina he doesn't offer much. I was wondering if you think Barca'd be better off shipping him off to PSG (who he hasn't ruled out a move to) and start training Montoya in as the full time right back now? He proved to be more than capable in the clasico and Tito's has tons of time for him. It's clear he's the next right back, but should he be put in now? Thanks in advance.

Hello, hope your well?, I wanted to know what Spainish people think of Juan Mata I get the feeling he is under-rated considering his brilliant talents and superb skills, also the new stylish Chelsea squad and the fact of Falcao joining Chelsea, that would surely making extremely Dangerous to face in any competiton?
