Danny Kapasa (Arsenal fan) says...

I don't know much about Chamakh but reports in the media say he is a goal getter and thats exactly what we need.Cesc is a fabulous passer and Arshavin is wonderful play maker and can score but when there is chance, which he proved last season. If Chamakh is what is been written about him he is wrth spending what Boadoux are asking for. Sometimes we need to spend a bit more to get the value we want.RVP is a good goal scorer and so is Edwardo but these players sometimes are injury -prone and thats where we need someone reliable to fall back on.

I totally agree with Stephen Broadstock (posted comment 17th July '09). He has hit the nail on he head, heknows exactly what Liverpool need to do. Rafa needs to pull his finger out and start signing proven players, not ones that may be prospect. I think Kuyt needs to be sold, he works so had but msses far to much and we do not need him if we are thinking of signing villa and silva, and possibly extra well known players in a trade for Alonso

Khamis Mohamed (Arsenal fan) says...

I have read many posts from fellow Arsenal supporters but few seem to realise that with Flamini in the team we could have trophies last season, he freed Fabregas the previous season and the result was Fabregas finding the back of the net more often, dont know much about Matuidi, Vieira was, let me repeat WAS, a great force, but we'll be lying to ourselves if we said he is not past his prime, it's time we shed some pride and ego and bring back Flamini, get PSG's Mamadou Sakho and add one goal getter.

Still some quality players in the market. Man United are in need of a holding midfield player and a left footed forward...Daniele De Rossi and David Silva would be masterstrokes...Per Mertesacker or Joleon Lescott would be a great buy for Arsenal alongside Gallas although I reckon Wenger will just buy Vieira to influence the likes of Diaby, Song and the talented Denilson and a forward like Chamakh although Trezeguet would be an incredible signing for them alongside Van Persie...Franck Ribery and David Villa are the two most in demand players now that Ronaldo and Kaka have moved on..Cant see Barca or Madrid splashing out on Villa after their mass spending so Chelsea and Manchester United could be in for him although he wants to stay in Spain...Ribery will probably end up at Madrid.

Barry Pinnington (Newcastle United fan) says...

Don't want to sound disrespectful to Hull but will Habib Beye desert them as quickly as he has Newcastle if they get relegated next season. He was one of the reasons that we got relegated so if he was not good enough for the premiership last season what makes him think that he will be good enough next season. I could understand if the move was to win trophies or to play in Europe. Just another player with no loyalty and only thinking of the bank account.

Damian Palmer (Aston Villa fan) says...

if martin o neil thinks villa are big enough to break into the top 4 with the squad he has now he is insane since he has taken over at the club he has moaned every year about how small the squad is! So why dont you go out and spend some money it looks as if o neil cant handle big name signings! He needs 5 quality new signings or we will be a mediocre team next year!

Adam Davies (Manchester United fan) says...

Not sure if this is true but I heard that Man United are gonna off-load Dimi Berbatov to Spurs for 16 million. I hope this is true because he doesn't do enough work when he hasn't got the ball. I think we should sign Kun Aguero because he's class.

Mathew Howden (Liverpool fan) says...

I have also heard Alonso, swap deal for Robben and Van der Vaart. Also enquired about Sneijder. We don't need Alonso anyway, keep Mascherano though, he is twice the player. Also, get Gerrard back into centre mid with the Argentine and buy David Villa. How obvious is it that we need another proven striker. Come on RAFA stop dwelling on lost targets and get the ball moving.

Norwegian Liverpool-fan (Liverpool fan) says...

John-Arne Riise's baby brother Bjoern Helge Riise (26y.o.) has signed for EPL outfit Fulham for a fee of £1,5-2M from Norwegian Tippeliga-club Lillestroem. BHR is a DMRC/AMRC with a douzen Caps for Norway.

Fraser Kinnley (Arsenal fan) says...

I hope to God Arsenal don't sign Obe Martins. He is not up to Arsenal class unless we are content to be also rans in every competition. Selling Adebayor is a good thing as his display of laziness and unwillingness to chase was all too evident last season. Huntelaar has been found out in La Liga and I would be reluctant to buy him either. If we can get Eduardo fit he is better than either of them and I feel Vela is only a season away from being a class act. Perhaps spending money on a centre half is more important, or a strong, big midfielder to protect Cesc.

Oliver Perkins (Manchester United fan) says...

Seriously, Lescott.. £30,000,000? Is Moyes having a laugh. To be honest, if I recieved the bid of £15million from city for him, I would've just said, you give us £22million and it's a deal. Is this Moyes' way of keeping Lescott? Demanding more money just because he knows City may pay for him. Manchester City think they can be the greatest team in the Premier League because of their new signings, what happened to Kaka and Eto'o? Their fantastic four would've consisted of Tevez, Kaka, Eto'o and Santa-Cruz.. Wow? Is that really a fantastic four? They've now added Adebayor to their squad, which to be honest, I think it's a mistake. Tevez and Adebayor will not work well together. Also, the idea of barton moving to Hull is pathetic. Seriously, who wants Barton these days. He assaults people, he has got god knows how many red cards in his career. He's violent and in my opinion, he should not be allowed to play proffessional football. He is not a good player and never was, neither will he be. Those are my opinions. I am a Man United fan and I believe Owen will score a great amount of goals, my estimate is 15 in his first season, if he gets the right amount of starts! C'mon United, Premier League for the 3rd year running, let's make it a 4th!

Luke Daniels (Aston Villa fan) says...

I don't know why Ashley Young is still being linked with a move away from Villa by some of these tabloids. Martin O'Neill has already said anyone that tries to buy him will get the "short shrift". Even Downing had to be assured Young was going to stay before he signed!

Espen Svaasand (Arsenal fan) says...

Reports here in Norway claim that Fulham have signed Bjorn Helge Riise from Lillestrom. He is the younger brother of John Arne Riise and is a right winger. The fee should be around £1,5-2 million

Tom David says...

Sorry, but I don't see the value in Liverpool signing Silva. For a start, he's not as good as Riera. I'm not a big Riera fan myself, but Silva is too lightweight and drifts in and out of games. Riera always startsahead of Silva in the Spanish team! If Alonso decides to join the primadonnas at Madrid, so be it. His loss in my opinion. How poor will he look as a defensive midfield player (which is where he will play, without Monster Masch next to him!) in a team incapeable of defending who were DESTROYED last year by his current side. If he does leave, we must firstly look to replace him. No good ideas on that one. Cambiasso may be an option, and although Javi Martinez is highly rated, I've not seen enough of him to comment. With any remaining funds I would look to buy Fernando Llorente from Bilboa, tall player, good in the air, good option to have. Villa would be a waste of money as Liverpool already have the best strike partnership in the prem by a mile (Torres and Gerrard)

Charlie Mcbeath (Manchester United fan) says...

Barton to Hull is a joke, the guy has been a disruptive presence at every club he's been to, why would they want to take the risk? A thug is still a thug whether he's in a football strip or not. I feel sorry for the Hull supporters if this is true. I don't know why I bother with these comments as you never show them anyway.

Barry Wallace (Liverpool fan) says...

I think signing david silva would be fantastic but selling alonso would feel like were just standing still instead of improving, if alonso goes we will need another striker and silva, couple of predictions ancelotti to be sacked by christmas and michael owen to score less than five goals in a man u shirt ha ha lol

Mark Mcgee (Liverpool fan) says...

i would be gutted to see Xabi go but i believe once a player wants to leave that should be it. We brought it on our selves last season when we tried to off load him to bring Barry very bad decision Barry is nothing compare to Xabi. About David Silva for me he doesnt look like a star player he was giving the ball away to much, fouled alot and doesnt look that strong when i hav watched him. If Xabi goes i would like to see us buy Marek Hamsik or Lucas Biglia.

Wayne S (Leeds United fan) says...

Delph to Villa. I think this would be a good move for Delph and Leeds. Between £4-6m is probably a fair price for both parties as he is still relatively unproven but does have good potential. Leeds could hopefully use the money to secure 2/3 good signings mainly being a solid full back or goalie. Dont want to see him go but how much midfield football do we actually play in league 1, which we desperately need to get out of.

Stephen Broadstock (Liverpool fan) says...

being a liverpool fan,i can't see the point ofkeeping unhappy players.we should sell/sawp Alonso to Real madrid in exchange for Robben, klass jan huntlear & van der vaart .Robben would welcome a move to liverpool and is proven in the premiership and both huntlear & van der vaart have very impressive records.they would all walk straight into the team and improve us a great deal in 3 problem areas.right mid/forward & centre mid replacing Alonso.i'd then look at selling carvelli, dossena, degan, plessis, ngog, voronin, reira, aurelio & arbeloa.this would bring in extra funds to build an impressive subs bench or with the approx £42 million from the sales i'd attempt to bring in david villa.

Ryan Harland (Newcastle United fan) says...

Well officially Sol Campbell has bought a huge house in Northumberland with his girlfriend, which is a 10 minute drive to the Newcastle training ground. It is roughly 45 minutes to Sunderland's training base. So from that information I think he is readying for a move to Newcastle.
