Oh dear, Nick Miller! Richard Dunne a liability? That's just lazy, knee-jerk 'journalism' from someone who clearly only watches the highlights on MOTD.
Know a couple of City boys who ensure me Dunne looked poor at times last season because he was trying to cover for the tactically-inept Micah Richards, who bombs forwards, gives the ball away and then leaves a huge gap for Dunne to cover.
Tell you what- if City do let him go, there'll be an almighty queue to sign him up- and I hope the Hammers are up front. You need to actually WATCH football before knocking up these articles, mate.

You mention Phil Brown must be a bad salesman?
Yesterday when interviewed on SKY he couldn't keep eye contact with your reporter, that didn't actually give the impression of confidence!!
I don't want Hull City to get into debt like some other clubs, we have been there and worn the t-shirt. But I am starting to feel after the embarassing January transfer window that cohesively the management team aren't getting it right. We went after a sulking 35 years old Italian (as the transfer window was closing) who once he had made his point to his club stayed there. It appeared that we didn't have a clear transfer policy???
Albert and Harold Steptoe collected everyone else's cast offs. I know we have 3 weeks until the start of the season but things don't look bright. Certain bookies taking odds on to sign Hercules, no not the strong man but the Steptoe's horse!!!

I think it is quite clear that Mike Ashley is trying to get his own back on the fans who were against him by totally wrecking any possibility of immediate promotion. He will sell the club as late as possible before the season starts. If I lived in England I would be standing outside St.James Park letting them know what I thought of them and also demanding to know what is happening with this supposed sale. The man is a joke!

'Ricard Dunne a liability', surely that is a bit harsh. The lad won City Player of the Season for five seasons on the trot and after a season admittedly not at his best surely doesnt constitute being a liability, when clearly he had to make up for the disappointing Micah Richards. Has been immense for Ireland as well under Il Trap. As articles go, absolute nonsense!!!

If chelsea are after a 'marquee' player, any chance of it being a centre back so that mancienne can come to the molineux. He proved his worth down there last season. That would see us safe.

If Alonso and Mascherano go, we're in dire need of replacements. Yes, Gerrard can do both of their jobs admirably, but that still leaves us one short and i think Gerrard relishes his role up front more. Spearing is untried mostly, though is tenacious like Mascherano. Lucas i think is better employed up front where his strengths are better employed. if Silva arrives, he's also more up front and a winger. A sad day if we lose either of them, but they're not irreplacable.

Actually Alexandre Pato is not a child because he is a fantastic player just like David Beckham sais " Pato is a mixture of Walcott and Solksjaer" and hes talking from experience. Also I believe that he will be a perfect striker for Chelsea as they need a fast & skillful player but I don't think AC Milan will let him go for cheap, as he has the potential to be the worlds best player

Richard Dunne has become a liability??? Are you serious with that comment. Ok his form last season for city was poor. I ask did you see his displays for the Irish away to Italy and Bulgaria in particular. They way City played last year would have a been a nightmare for defenders, especially away from home. Tell you what though, if Dunne was English, the likes of Upson etc wouldn't get near an England jersey.

With Osman, Fellaini, Pienaar, Neville, Arteta, Rodwell, Cahill & Gosling all worthy of a place in the team, we at Everton have many midfield options other clubs would love to have but I agree one more class midfielder would be welcomed. I think we also need a right back and 2 more central defenders, 1 experienced as cover and 1 young to bring through.
We have Jo, Saha, Yakubu, up front with Vaughny & victor waiting in the wings so nothing more needed there...
I can see Everton upsetting the league again this year with a top 4 finish more of a reality for us than ANY other team currently outside the sky 4 and yes that includes you Spurs, Villa & City, You are nowhere near us.

Everton's biggest need isn't "bite in midfield" at all. If we get a tough tackling midfielder, that's great, but all Everton fans would tell you right back and right wing are the areas we need to strengthen the most.
Also, to say we've been lacking that type of player since Gravesen left is inaccurate - Gravesen wasn't that type of player at all - he couldn't tackle! I think you mean since Lee Carsley left...
