Dewi Morris pays tribute to Stuart Lancaster's England and says there will be only one winner in Rome

We were not quite sure how the England v Wales game was going to unfold but England came out and played a terrific game. They played at a wonderful tempo and they have really developed a great trust between each other which showed on Sunday.

Emmett Gracie says...

I'm enjoying how England are playing atm, but feel we're losing perspective in the current feel good, convince ourselves we're wonderful stage. I was struck by the comparison with Lancaster's first 6N in 2012. England were fabulous in France, a far better performance than this year, and far more dominant over Ireland at Twickenham than the recent match. They lost to Wales, but played well, and were up against a team playing far better than this year's vintage. Objectively, England's 2014 performances are simply NOT superior to their 2012. Even in style (and particularly if you add the All Blacks game from later in the year). There was plenty of encouraging enterprise two years ago. The scars of Cardiff 2013 have given us this sense of having improved from past performances that just does not stack up with reality. This is a very good team, but this relentless upwards trajectory is a bit of a fantasy that we have invented for ourselves (and which we really, really want to believe).
