Great result for Celtic and Rangers this week.
Regarding the Dida incident i belive we deserve a fine for the idiot getting on the pitch, the stewards and police have let the side down there. However as some other people have commented it was a magnificent result and 1 stupid fan has got carried away, there was no malice in his 'attack' (as the press would lable it) on Dida and seemed to me more like a banterous wee tap. Ban the supporter? yes, he should no better. Fine the club? Yes, the fool should not have been on the pitch and we can all accept that, but any punishment more severe would be unjust and could encourage oscar contenders like Dida to behave in such a deplorable way in the future.

There is no way I can condone the actions of the individual who ran on the pitch last night. In the bar where I was watching the game, to a man the feeling was outrage at the thug. I hope that when he climbed back into the stand he was left in no uncertain terms about how acceptable this behaviour is at Celtic Park.
I would also urge anyone who is reading this page not to get drawn into a debate with Euan the Rangers fan about Celtic's inability to control their fans. I think looking at the Archives of this or any other sport website should adequately document the hypocracy fo the man.
Finally...Dida! It says so much for a person that he has the mind set to immediately calculate the repercussions of acting as though he had been beaten to a pulp. It is so disappointing - time and time again Celtic park is full on European night and all too often this is what we see from our guests. My big worry is that UEFA pander to the bigger clubs.
Milan have done everything the can to distance themselves from Dida without calling him a cheat. lets hope at the inquiry they listen to Clarence Seedorf who said that "Celtic fans are some of the best in the world...."

I agree with the Celtic fan Finbar's comment: "a good win but spoiled by a thug I hope we get a ban or have to play a game behind closed doors". Just think how bad it would have been if the goalie HAD been injured - i.e. the thug could have been holding anything in his hand. Also the two Sky 1 commentators, Charlie & Jim were out of order - they were going on about the goalie "diving" and they could not have known at that stage for sure if he WAS injured or not. We in Scotland shouldn't be putting up with this behaviour - what an embarrassment to all of us, not just Celtic fans. Strachan should also have a bit of humility - he is just too glib with his comments about "gossip columns" etc. and he could at least have said he hoped the goalie was OK.

It was a very poor Liverpool performance last night which was totally lacking in pride and desire. We do though have enough ability to rescue the situation and qualify for the knockout stages. It will require the players to show pride, and Rafa to use more care with team selection, but Besiktas can be beaten home and away, Porto don't travel well, and Marseille were made to look better than they are last night. I predict 10 points from the last 4 games. come on you Reds!!

A serious over-reaction by most people on here regarding the Celtic fan. OK, he was wrong to jump on the pitch, but come on ban him for life? His team had just recorded one of the best results in their history, he let his excitement get the better of him. There was no aggression, just joy at what his team were about to achieve. Celtic fans are renowned for their passion, this is bound to happen from time to time. Dida should get the ban.

Just to re-iterate the opinion of most of the countries proper football supporters, Whilst there is no excuse for the idiot who ran on the pitch at Park Head last night, Dida the AC Milan Goalkeeper should also be severely punished for brinking the game into disripute for an unpresidented and embarrassing display of ridiculous play acting ever seen in sport! I can only think the ice bag was for tooth ache and the stretcher was because the poor guy was tired. "What a joke". Ban him, there's no room for that kind of behaviour in Football (Is it no strange coincidence he has been involved in a similar incident previously!)

Congratulations to Celtic on a deserved win last night. Lets hope that sense will prevail with regard to the Dida incident. Yes the fan should not have been on the pitch, but Dida's actions were disgusting. He is trying to con Celtic and con UEFA. If UEFA are convinced by his terrible acting it could have serious consequences for Celtic on and off the field. This goes beyond trying to get a player booked. He is trying to get a whole club in trouble over a incident, which in fairness should not have happened, but will not leave him with any short or long term problems. If he needs to be strechered off after getting a little tap on shoulder/neck then maybe he shouldn't be doing goals for a top club like Milan. One of those balls might do him serious damage.
Fine at the most for Celtic. Dida should take the rest of the season off to recover from his traumatic attack. 'Mon the Hoops.

It has been a great 4 or so weeks for Scottish football, the national team beating France in Paris, Rangers amazing victory in Lyon and Celtic beating Milan last night. However the idiot who ran on to the park last night has brought some disgrace to our game, Fair enough Dida made a total meal of it but if you look at uefa sanctions that have been handed out over past few years Celtic are in deep deep trouble and surely uefa can¿t go easy on Celtic for this. Inter Milan got a massive fine, kicked out the champions league and forced to play 4 games behind closed doors a few years back for the infamous flair attack and more recently Denmark got fined, forced to play there games away from Copenhagen and Sweden were awarded a 3 nil scoreline for the tie when a Denmark fan tried to kick a Swedish player. Although this incident is no where near as serious I do hope Celtic get a strong punishment for failing to control there fans.

Can see a heavy fine, points deduction and the rest of this season European CL games played behind closes doors for Celtic, as a punishment from UEFA, shame Didi cant be hit with a simular punishment for cheating.

Having watched the dida incident i think it sums up the nature of some lengths of cheating certain footballers will go to. Yes it is wrong to enter the field of play and i am sure that uefa will punish celtic, as well as celtic banning the 'supporter'. Yet, dida should also receive punishment for cheating and deception. It endorses everything that is bad about gamesmanship and cheating from footballers at the highest level. In the heat of that moment, dida seems to have calculated a chance to void the game and retrieve the points. Shame on dida, shame on football!

Celtic should get fined for not having security tight enough to prevent the pitch invasion, instead of an idiot with a tao on the neck it might have been a madman with a gun. But Dida should be severly punished for faking an injury and impersonating a keeper.

Look at the video footage - whilst in now way condoning the actions of the idiot who ran onto the pitch - he hardly made any contact with the keepers neck/face - in fact it was more of a stroke on the chin. The keeper initially starts to run after him, no doubt to catch him, but then realises what has happened and decides to use it to his advantage (points deducted, disqualified etc) so he falls to the ground like a sack of potatoes. It would have been more believable had he immediately fell to the ground - it's the keeper that should be under investigation.
