I was there last night and have watched Celtic for 20 years
a brilliant result and win but spoiled by a thug
I hope we get a ban or have to play a game behind closed doors as that will teach the stupid element of our fans
I hope Dida is ok although he made a meal of it it was a disgrace to Celtic and Scottish football

You cannott condone the act of an idiot running on the pitch, it could cause serious problems for Celtic, however the reaction of the Milan goalkeeper was ridiculous, he first runs after the guy and then throws himself to the floor and gets stretchered off.
Celtic should not only find the culprit of the slap, but also the sniper in the crowd.

The disgraceful conduct of one moron cannot be allowed to overshadow what was one of the best Team performances since the Benfica game, nor should he be allowed to tarnish the exemplary reputation of the faithful.
If he has any love for the Club, he should make himself known.
C'mon The Hoops

Firstly I'd like to say what a great result for Celtic. It's a shame we have these morons who think it's smart to invade the pitch. If Celtic are fined then they should sue the idiot for however much they get fined aswell as banning him for life. He is not a true representation of real Celtic fans who travel the length and breadth of Europe without causing any bother.

Chelsea's result seems more than satisfactory, the team has been in a difficult period and the number of players in the treatmen room didn't help, but they played for the shirt and for each other. absolute relieved after all those problems... keep the blue flag flying high for ever.

I watched the Celtic match and it was fantastic!!! I know that idiot at the end may have spoilt it but from what I saw he appeared to give Dido a tap and with a "delay reaction" then he went down and stretchered off!!! Could this have been a delay tactic for Milan to try and equalize???

What a great night for Celtic, hopefully Uefa will have an enquiry into the Milan keepers performance as well!!

Celtic were fantastic at home...as usual. Especially McManus and MacDonald.
I hope Celtic will only be fined for the incident with the fan. I know that UEFA consider past precedents and wait for the referee and match delegate to give their reports (I don't think either of them saw the incident). I was too busy celebrating at the time!!Therefore, video replay may have to be used. I think that Dida's 'theatrical' performance will help Celtic's case...a Milan spokenman has also said he will not seek prosecution against Celtic. All we can do is wait and pray. HAIL HAIL!!

Congratulations to Celtic, superb battling performance! Whilst I don't condone fans entering the field of play or confronting any player, I must say that Dida's reaction was an utter disgrace! Celtic will be censored, and rightly so, a fine should surfice and warning over future handling of games/fans. The fan should be banned for his stupidty but Dida was tapped on his shoulder/neck, he's a big fella and should be ashamed..........couldn't see a Keane, Ruddock, Clemence etc going down like that, well maybe Jens Lehman!!!!

Celtic got a great result from a poor game of football. Even though AC Milan seem destined not to formally complain about the "lone madman" at the end, they really don't need to, because the influence of top Italian clubs over the authorities is well known and has a long history. It is standard practice for visiting European teams to be bombarded by various objects during most games in Italy and nothing is done. Read what you will into "influence," but we all know what it really means. I have no doubt that UEFA will punish Celtic severely and it will benefit Milan.
I don't know what anyone anywhere can do about these loner mad men, even presidents are not safe.
I am not very hopeful but well done to the Celtic team for digging in there and getting the result.

As a Celtic fan I am embarrassed by what happened at the end of the match last night. After a decent, if not fortunate, result against a poor Milan side, I've a feeling those 3 points will be deducted, and rightly so!

All eyes were on Chelsea this round. After a very pathetic first round draw to Rosenborg at Stamford bridge, they needed to show the football world that if the team were down... they were certainly not out.
And thats exactly what they did.
They dominated the game after going 1 down in the 1st couple of minutes. Maintained possession. a tight defence, and imaginative midfield play. And of course... Didier up front.
Welcome back Chelsea...
Now lets get those Cups we want back so badly.
Peace

Celtic were just awesome. To beat the European Champions is a fantastic achievement for the Hoops. I just hope that idiot who ran on at the end does not spoil things for us - he should be banned for life!
