You have to look at this collectively, yes it is very sad to not have a test match at old trafford for 3/4 years but the ECB can't just have test matches there because England play well there. The ECB obviously have reasons for not awarding a test match to old trafford and it is their decision. It is dissapointing old trafford hasnt matched the criteria but now other venues can have an opportunity to stage test matches and build on it... Some people are saying that old trafford should stage test matches because England play well there... if thats a valid reason then i think we have a problem because thats basically saying england can only play good cricket on one pitch. Forget about the so called good record at old trafford because it is not a venue for coming years and england can now make good records at different venues and they need to because we all should be talking about all the venues being good for england, not just one.

Not having a test at Old Trafford is very disappointing, even more so that they lost out to a ground that has never hosted a test before. Surely Cardiff should have hosted a smaller nation such as Bangladesh before getting such a high profile game?

Old Trafford Has Been Known to Hold Some of the Most Tense, Exciting , Nerve Racking Cricket Matches Known to The Cricket World And Now For The Next 4 Years It's Not Going Be Used.... The Potiential Of The Wicket Is Very Good And That's Why There's Been Some Excellent Cricket Played... Its Sad News For Not Just English Cricket Fans But The Cricket World In General...
