The International Series was a success at Wembley, so could we see an English team in the NFL?

Well, although for now it sounds good a NFL team in London, but, for how long would it be good. London alone as not a sufficent enough fan base, and it would just be a matter of time before the folks from up north will stop coming down south. I for one would like to see another regular season game at Wembley..or even better SUPERBOWL L, imagine that WoW!!!

I was at the Saints v Chargers game last sunday, what a spectacle! A British team in the NFL? I'm not sure what should happen - maybe NFL Europe should start again, there should be real investment in the teams, it should follow the NFL season, reach the play-offs and then the winner should play the champions of America. Until then, we should keep the NFL coming to Wembley every year. Thanks NFL for the experience.

I can't see it happening - fans will soon be put off watching an expansion quality team getting beat every week and playing badly so it would need a lot of help to be competitive (maybe playing all games at home except for three away to divisional opponents). Also lets not forget that football is always going to have first call on the use of the stadium so scheduling could be very difficult.

Although a resident of Cape Town, I have been a fan of gridiron for many years and was a regular at the Monarchs games at the old Wembley. It wont work. The last comment has it right "as long as it's a half decent team". What if it's not? US teams, pro and NCAA, sell out even if they are having an awful year. Any "introduced" sport will have a novelty interest but once that is over, because it's not "in the blood", the numbers will diminish, especially if the team is losing, which as an expansion team, they will for the first few years. The banks of empty seats will not look good and soon the team will relocate to Portland or Las Vegas etc.

If they can find enough teams to add one to each division... then in theory it could work. But theory is a wonderful thing. For now... lets keep it strictly American. Its fine the way it is for now.

At least if there was a non National Team in the NFL, when they proudly announced that the Superbowl winner was the "World Champion" it would be true for once!

Well...seeing as the winners of the Super Bowl are 'World Champions', maybe we should have some international teams... How about another 3 teams, say 1 Canadian, 1 Mexican and another American franchise (so they don't get upset over there...), as well as the British Team? Then we'd have another group of 4... And as for travelling abroad, sure our support'd dwindle over there, but don't you think that Wembley would be a fortress for us? And if we did got on the road for up to 3 weeks at a time, so what? That'd be better for roaming fans that would book their holidays and travel with the team. I'm all for it!

The possibility of a uk team being added in the next expansion sounds good but, how many UK fans would be able to travel to away games? This would leave the UK/London team with little support away from home and adversly, how many supporters would travel over from the States to watch their teams here in London? I for one would have to take up flights to go to London let alone the US and use up what are valuable holidays to do so.

I would hate to see a British team in the NFL. It's the NATIONAL football league, national meaning USA. The league is fine the way it is with 32 teams, 8 divisions consisting of 4 teams each.

I would love to see a team in London. And as long as the team are half decent, the fans would get right behind it.
