Bangladesh bowled really well. To book a batting line up like England in the 220 mark is just awesome. I hope we can carry this on to our next matches and go to the next stage. Last 3 games versus England we won 2. This is becoming a habit of ours.

Having read all the comments every member of the team has been mentioned apart from one person. Who some how, manages to be able to hide in the dressing room and escape all criticisum and being able to continually underperform and still i keep hearing how this guy is technically the best in the team and is a very classy batsmen. Yet he has managed to live on scoring 60 and 80`s. Gets himself out with poor shot selections when he could of gone on and scored big hundreds! Ian Bell does not justify a place in the team,if who ever is reading this doesnt agree with me then please provide some proof ,facts and figures to back up why they think he should be in the team. Then i will change my mind.,for example; kevin Pietersons one day avearge is about 47 second best to Trott,no other batsmen gets close to that average.Fact....To top it of people still comment on pieterson, whos injured, that he should not be in the side.im sorry but if he was in the side the score would not of been 44-2 from 18 overs...Bangledesh were about 74-3 after 18..poor performance and we dont deserve to be in the quarter finals so i hope we lose to the west indies because if we dont it will only go and hide the problems we have in the one day side...

Bangladesh is much balance team than England right now. you can say any thing you want but the fact of the matter is that England played rubbish and they lost. there are no reason what so ever. England won the match against SA, ever one loved it. They lost to Bangladesh, they are not happy but ready to say that English man were very tired of traveling whole year long. Please drop all this and admit that Bangladesh is no longer a push over team.

absloutly shameful, when you leave out class players like owais shah, napier etc etc you cant rely on people like collingwood and trott who is not a one day batsman. Come on england selectors wake up and smell the coffee .

Who ever bet on Bangladesh to win has made a small fortune. You cannot treat a smaller country with so much disdain as the English team showed the Bangladeshis'. Every loss will eventually drop you to the bottom of the table. If England go through to the knockout stages it'll be a miracle. Well done to the Bangladesh for really rubbing in your win. It was fully supported by us in South Africa.

The England cricketers are just as bad as the England footballers, by beating Aussies does not make you world beaters. Both bunch of spoilt brats get too big for their boots when they win one game. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A commenr from Michael Slevin says... How about opening with Yardy, who opens for Sussex.? Now that has got to be the funniest comment I have ever seen, from a cricket fan with very limited knowledge of the game and who has no doubt just looked up on wiki whether he has opened for his county. Michael Yardy, although, he has had success with the bat for his county - is nowhere near the level internationally to even play in the team as a batsmen, let alone open! And the most laughable part of it is; he is picked for his county as a batsmen, and a specialist bowler for England. And his comical shuffle trigger movement is just evident of a gutsy makeshift bits and pieces cricketer. The guy should never play for england again. From todays game...I do think that the bulk of the blame has to be directed at Prior and Bell. Prior almost had two opportunities when he was stumped. He just managed to keep his foot in the crease at the moment the bails were dislodged; then at the second attempt; showed, as Willis described as a moment of Dozey from the seven dwarfs!! He just wasn't switched on! Lazy cricket! Then Ian Bell. Well, it was just a horrible innings. He was out there for 23 balls and scored 5 runs, without barely playing a shot. His dismissal was just a chip to short mid-wicket. He's such a gifted player but succumbs to scoreboard pressure. it was just a tepid, insipid innings from bell. And as for Anderson....he nevers fails to let us down at the death. Knew it would happen. And the worse thing about it was; he bowls three wides and goes for 11 runs off the over to shift the balance well and truly Bangladesh's way....and Strauss decides to let him bowl another over. Even Collingwood's cutters would have been better. He just doesn't look up for the fight...His eyes looked so glazed at the end; almost like a frightened soul wondering why he was given the responsibility. A shadow of his Ashes self!

Yes it was another "upset" and the team have shot themselves in the foot again. However got to agree with some comments on here, who ever thought it would be a good idea to throw in 7 ODI's in Australia after the team had performed so magnificently in the test series and give them a whole 3 days off before flying off to India for the World cup. The players look to have hit a brick wall, hardly surprising after been away from home so long.

This is a disappointing result, but very well done Bangladesh. Yet again though, England were 'victims' of extraordinary individual displays. England have been involved in all the freaky games (barring NZ / Pakistan) and it is wrong to judge them against pieces of freakish individual brilliance. There is more than enough talent, though the selectors could possibly plan and utilise it a bit better on recent results, in the team to get to the quarters, and then who knows?, maybe someone on out team may have a record breaking day. As for all of you who are calling for the England teams heads, support is all about sticking to your team through thick and thin. Show your support publicly, and keep your negative thoughts to yourselves. How many of you have called for KP to go, and he isn't even in the country???We all know that England don't fair well in ODI's, so why slag off a team that is trying so hard? Do you people think they plan to go out there and lose?

pretty poor display, but anyone who can be away from home 4 nearly half a year cant really be xpected to preform at the highest level is a joke, the selectors should take a good look at themselves as 4 the critisism its easy 2 sit at home as oppose to be playing the game

Not sure how Jimmy can say he is the leader of this OD attack? Not a great example being set with all the short stuff! I think Broad is and has been for a while(who did Strauss bring on at the end of SA game) Should stick with Shahzad as although he bowls a bad ball at least he bowls the wicket balls just as Broad does. Bresnan is by far the most consistent but seriously missing the extra spinner again today.... Selectors unfortunately don't seem to see what the rest of us do, although I'm disappointed well played Bangladesh to bounce back from a disappointing result!

I feel after watching this latest performance by England that there time is done , I can't understand why they didn't choose tremlett for this game he did well in aus is tall and can produce pace through his height but he didn't play , so England are now left in a situation where it's a must win against the west indies and that is in probable , so fairdy well boys you where embarrassed again but not to fear you will be home soon ..

England proving once again they can't set a total. They just about got away with it against SA. Trott's getting credit for top-scoring but he took so many balls to do it (against average bowling) that the pressure was again on the lower-order to make up the runs. Being so defensive with both bat and ball will get you nowhere.

Well... What an absolute shambles, What do you expect from a team that is filled with " Big Time Charlies" from all the so called top sides in the country... Sussex.. Middlesex.. Hampshire.. Warwickshire.. It"s about time the Sycophantic selectors had the guts to drop the likes of Anderson.. Prior.. Strauss..... and as for Pietersen... would have dropped him weeks ago!!! Totally gutless selectors and arrogant players

Michael Slevin says...

C'mon,we were beaten by a freak partnership, which the players involved would probably never repeat. How about opening with Yardy, who opens for Sussex. Although that would mean opening with Two lefties, but it would get a second spinner in, without damaging the batting line up.
