At the end of the match between Gloucester and Sale, a disgruntled home supporter turned to me and said, "So much for the new scrum laws then?"Back to story
Having now played & coached with the new scrum laws they are much better than before as they reward technique and nous as opposed to brute size. Whilst front rows are stereotyped for not being smart ours at Leamington RFC have shone way above our locals having dominated the scrum in all three warm up games. This has not been a result of any major focus in training other than 30 mins 4 weeks ago. One other good bit of news is you can compete for the ball and get turnover scrums which we have taken great joy in doing. Long live the new scrum laws
