i'm a big hatton fan and i hope the loss against mayweather has not finished him,,as for witter ,ricky would finish him easy in the past ,but has the hunger gone?

Ricky hatton will only fight a few more times, why would he waste his time against witter, beating witter would prove nothing. Who has witter ever beat, Harris and he was way past his best. Lets face it Witter is no world beater any decent pressure fighter with half a chin wins hands down.

Ricky Hatton scared of Witter? Get real! Hatton has never ducked anyone.Witter only shouts his mouth off when he knows the fight is not in the offing. Hatton's camp have offered Witter the fight three times now and he's ducked it,finding various pathetic excuses. Witter won't fight,he knows he'd get knocked out. He should do everyone a favour and shut up!

Lets be honest the fight any boxing fan wants to see in this country is Hatton-Witter; Hatton talks about not wanting to give Witter his biggest payday but isnt that what Mayweather gave Hatton. If Hatton honestly believes he would beat Witter he would take the fight finish him off and move on but hes been ducking this fight for a long time now and that only makes me question Hatton's credability.

Christopher Andrew says...

witter had his chance could of had biggest payday of his life to fight ricky at city ground but said the offer wasn't enough...he's the champ but that counts for nothing rickys who people come to see. witter fights in front of a couple of thousand ricky can pull more people in to watch the way in.

Its about time, Hatton and Witter fought. I think Hatton has bottled it from him in the past. Its a fight that would be good for them as individuals and for the british public. It would be a fight that would stir up a lot of interest and tell who is best british fighter domestically. I think Witter would win..

I also believe that Junior and Ricky should get it on. It would be a great clash of styles, I think my money would be on Ricky by stoppage mid way but then again Junior does have the credentials to steal the fight on points. I think there may be an element of fear from Ricky about fighting Junior as he would have nowhere to go if he got spankeed by the Yorkshire man. Come on fellas lats get it on.

Ivan Palmer says...

This should be a good fight but when is Ricky Hatton going to give Junior his chance to either prove or disprove he is the real deal? Rather than fighting some super feather weight to please the fans in manchester Ricky should give the british public the fight they want to see!! It could be as classic as Benn v Eubank! It's great to see so much boxing in Nottingham and good luck to Carl Froch!
