i don't think any of you have ever heard of Lazcano have you? He's a v.good fighter and may cause ricky some problems, fight could easy end up being stopped on cuts. I hope ricky wins but Lazcano is tough and will be a lot harder than most of you think. As for hand picked, i say no chance.He just wants someone who's gunna fight him and not run and get protected by a ref like mayweather fight.

it would be funny if ricky loses!!!! but he wont as that guy shaleema said its hand picked oponent, hatton should easily fly through this guy maybe ko this guy within the 6th round. ricky needs to fight tougher people, likes of paulie, or even move up to welterweights and fight miguel cotto!!!

Ive gotta agree with Shaleema`s comments, Lazcano does seem to be a hand picked opponent, however hand picked or not, the guy has 2 fists also in that ring, and knows only too well that by beating Ricky Hatton, he will be shot to stardom and on to the BIG money fights, all that aside though im sure it will be exciting while it lasts, Whewn Ricky Sparks him out cold from a flurry of body shots. Ricky to win in the 5 round. As for Junior Witter, ive never liked the man or his style, he is the most boring boxer ive ever seen, i was cheering all the way when he got beat last weekend, he has never had anything to offer Ricky for a fight, and i for one say Ricky Hatton does not need to fight a person like Witter, my own personal opinion of the next few fights though are, Oscar De La hoya to beat Floyd Mayweather on points, Ricky to beat Lazcano by KO, then before Christmas in Manchester/Wembley/Cardiff i see Ricky Hatton V Oscar De La Hoya with Ricky Knocking out Oscar. Quote me on that..

There's no doubt in anyones mind Ricky will win the fight either comfortably on points or a mid-fight stoppage possibly around 8th or 9th round. The division looks decidedly week and my hope is that Hatton unifies the division before retiring as one of the greatest British boxers of all time!!! P.S No disgrace in losing to Floyd Mayweather as he is a total one-off and we may never see his likes again for the next 50 years.

Can't say I know too much about Juan Lazcano, but obviously being a handpicked opponent he is someone ricky and billy graham believe is beatable whilst also been able to provide a good spectacle for the sell-out manchester crowd. If Ricky comes through this fight as I fully expect him to then the big fights are still out there. Paulie Magnawhats his name, Floyd Mayweather and depending what weight he's prepared to go to even Oscar Dela Hoya. Personally I feel Mayweather is a mistake, as much as I love Ricky, the gulf in class between money mayweather and everybody else is too large a gap to bridge.

witter was calling out hatton for years, boxing is all about money why would hatton fight witter when witter cant fill the nottingham arena, hatton to beat Lazcano inside 6 rounds, beat paulie in december time and have another go at maywhether.

Ricky Hatton should and will defeat Lazcano, and after this i would love to see him fight Mayweather again in this country where i believe he will beat him. Ricky is best at moving forward and getting in close my only hope is the referee allows this in the Mayweather fight he was restricted by referee.

This is a hand picked opoonent, by ricky to build his confidence. once he beats this guy on points or knockout, he'll be ready to fight paulie, andreas, or even tim bradley. ricky will win this fight. juiior witter could think about fighting ricky next century as lost his title within the 3rd defence. worst fighter ive seen junior witter, now why would hatton fight witter? witter is rubbish. hatton will win this fight!!! come on ricky!!!!!
