I admire Calzaghe, which is why I want him to retire after Jones. Pavlik will be one step too far I'm afraid. He certainly won't 'hammer' him. Pavlik is genuine quality, he can box, has a good defence and has a decent knock-out punch, but most importantly he's 27. The change in weight would also be a factor with Joe struggling to make Super-Middlewight. Retire after Jones and keep your legacy Joe.

Over the years Iv sort of grown to like joe although his autobiography slags off ever other boxer . Hes started to belive in his self more as his career has gone on thus why the big names have come at the twlight of his career. I think he really needs to call it a day after jones, sooner or later he will get beat and all them years unbeaten wont be unbeaten any more Theres no one done what his done and retired unbeaten but plenty with one or two losses on there record. I also think he Beats Jones and Pavilk alday long . But at that weight there will be someone just round the corner who may just be a bit younger and hunger and who judges fill like giving it too becouse they think joes had his day. regardless of him wining on points.

Luke Peacham says...

Calzaghe should fight Pavlik after he beats Jones then that will show all the critics that he is the best British boxer of all time. He will hammer Pavlik with his speed, accuracy and good foot work.
