Sam - i don't think your comments, 'Carl Froch will stand no chance when he actually fights someone world class' are fair. He can only beat what's in front of him - Froch has made no secret of his desire to fight some of the big guns; if you ask me they have stayed away from him - he has the heart and the chin to give anyone a run for their money, be that Calzaghe, Kessler or Pavlik!

Most exciting fighter in the world? That is quite simply a classic comment- is Henneseys real name Ron Atkinson? I find that comment utterly ridiculous and he shouldn't be allowed to forget that he just made it! what a plonker!

Sam, Johns- Styles make good fights! Hopkins V Calzaghe wasn't spectacular, but Calzaghe was able to smuther Hopkins constantly. Where as Hopkins was able to make Pavlik look avergae when they fought. Yes I agree, that Froch's defense is poor, someone like Pavlik will love froch because Pavlik throws 1 straight jab followed by a striaght right. And he has undoubted knock out power. As for kessler, he is more of a relazed fighter who doesn't go rushing in, unless he smell blood. If froch tightened up his defense I feel he would beat Pavlik because he has a great chin and work rate. As for kessler, he is a hard puncher, but still he couldn't even put calzaghe down, therefore I feel Froch can beat Kessler. The only thing that will give Froch the edge over Calzaghe is that Calzaghe doesn't posses knocj-out power, where as Froch does.

Froch was awesome last night. His combinations fantastic, his defence suspect, his chin made of granite!!! It's this last point that I feel will make Froch a force to be reckoned with. When he moves up in class, he will obviously fight harder and more skilled opponents, however, his ring craft, chin and most of all his will to win, will see him be a champ for a long time. Forget Calzaghe, he won't want a piece of Froch. Taylor will whimp out of the fight. Kessler is probably the best option, and it would be a good step up. Well Done Carl!!!!

Bring on calzaghe, haha no chance. Froch at times looked awful in that fight, hands low an absolutely awful defence. Calzaghe would ruin him, but that fight will never happen. If he wants to prove himself forget about jermain taylor, lets see him fight kessler or pavilik. Most exciting fighter in the world? Hardly, i guess they didnt watch manny pacquaio fight in the early hours of the morning. He is the most exciting fighter in world boxing at the moment and justified as pound for pound king.

Sam Johns says...

Congratulations to Carl, but i don't believe he is 'the most exciting fighter in world boxing.' He didn't look that great last night, his defence looks utterly weak when bombarded with punches, Pascal just tired after 6 rounds, before that he was catching Froch with some beautiful combinations, and remember this was a guy who before the fight was 70/1 to win! All the credit to Pascal he fought a great fight. I've always said this and i still believe it - Carl Froch will stand no chance when he actually fight someone world class. He's been after Calzaghe for years but he's way out of his league, froch would struggle to get past kessler or pavlik. So no way is he the most exciting fighter in world boxing, hes not even the most exciting in super-middleweight!

I am absolutely over the moon that Froch won last night, it's put Nottingham back on the map! Bring on Calzaghe!
