Funny how Tottenham fans go on about Manchester United and the Berbatov deal, (David Freeman) what exactly did they do wrong? I think you have fallen for Mr levy's media spin. Berbatov was always for sale to the highest bidder, (as was Keane). Of course Spurs were whiter than white in their pusuit of Ramos, and the lad from palace, their pusuit of Arshavin was kept well under wraps too!!

My mates dad is a steward over West Ham, and has kept hearing that we could be after Sami Hyppia during the January window. If this is true, do we never learn? Surely Curbishley's reign has taught us nothing. Ageing stars just aren't good enough if we want to push for European positions. We need some younger, hungry players. Not these ageing has-beens looking for a last big pay cheque.

Interesting to hear a Chelsea supporter bleating about Man City and their new found wealth. Where were Chelsea before they fell into money...I'll tell you if you can't remember...up and down the leagues as a run-of-the-mill bog standard team...playing to lousy crowds....check your history books! At least City fans have stuck through thick & thin and are a credit to the game. at SOL last home game you couldn't help being impressed by the away support that City had....and that was before they knew the money was coming in! Seems to me Chelsea don't like a taste of their own medicine!

Lee Cowley you are a bit misguided to say the least...the owners of manchester united have plunged your club deep into debt to be able to afford all your recent recruits. Also before Roman chelsea were something, they were exciting and entertaining if not wildly unpredictable. We wona few cups and if i remeber beat real madrid in the euro super cup. We also had some of the greatest players creating attractive football, with Gullit, di Matteo, leboeuf, zola, sparky hughes etc etc Also frankly speaking i think anybody talking about how rival clubs have bought their way unfairly to this and that is frankly a bit rich!!!!

Mike B (Everton fan) says...
to Steven James (everton fan) sorry mate but as Man city and Newcastle have newer/higher capacity stadiums investors can come in and wipe out the debt and start building a team, where as everton need a new stadium before anything can be done. Plus we cant even find a place to build a stadium. I agree that we need a sugar daddy to come in but I cant see who would want to when they can buy another club for cheaper. Shame to see the blues in this state and it is scaring me that we may be going backwards towards the relegation 90's rather than UEFA cup/Champion league contender 00's!!!

I agree with Simon Davies, the signing of Dos Santos is a bit funny. I think Barcelona realised he wasn't as promising as first thought and they wanted to offload him. Another possibility is they think he needs more experience and have a buy back clause. I personally don't think he is a great player.

Steve James (Everton fan) says...
For all you Soccer investors out there!! If you want a good club with stability and a good fan base, please look at EVERTON. It has a great manager good players and they finished 5th last year. Of all the clube being mentioned for takeovers no -one seems to have looked at Everton Why would you invest in Man City or NUFC with all the turmoil that has surrounded them in the last 12 months. So if there are any smart billionaires out there, please look at EVERTON

I heard the from a mate of a mate of a mate who sat beside Sheikh Mansour of the Abu Dhabi United group at Wembley last night. Now listen to this... After Ben Shepherd's solid performance for England and Mcfly's Danny Jones who performed brilliantly on the wing, Mansour is plotting a shock move to offer both of them professional contracts at Man City. My friend's mate also heard Romario and Alan Shearer's name mentioned... could it be?!

Steven Appiah to the Arsenal, Home of football. Come on Arsene make it happen.

Shane Johnson (Arsenal fan) says...
Would be great if Arsenal got in Appiah, type of player we need go for it Wenger. Also - Cannot believe I am doing this, but I agree with Lee, the Man Utd supporter.....exactly on the money mate good call, they have all this money and expect all the top players/mercenaries will just come to them and when they get beaten to the punch, in robinhos case, they just whinge about it when they have paid way over the odds for some footballers who in fact turned out very average, and dare I say, slowed/ruined the careers of a few good players.

if we can't get Slaven Bilic to be the new West Ham manager, then i think Laudrup would be the next best option to replace Curbishley. I certainly don't want Donadoni, who's idea of football is safety first. We want to watch exciting, attacking football.

LOL At the Chelsea fan, I never thought I would say this but i fully agree with the Man U fans comment. Chelsea were happy buying the league and now they can be out bid by city all the fans start to moan that it shouldnt be allowed! I just hope Man City dont lose their fans for glory hunters and hangers on, City have always had amazing support even when they went down to the old second division, they should want to keep these fans first and not bring in the prawn sandwich brigade like at United

Tony Hurd (Leicester City fan) says...
The situation at Newcastle is riduculous. They've lost a top manager (again) because they have amatuers running the club. Dennis Wise is obviously carrying his 'playing career pitch antics' into his new role by just going round upsetting people. He caused unknown problems after coming for a final pay-day at my club Leicester City. I wouldn't have him in my management team if he was paying me to be on it !!! Let's hope a new owner comes in, bringing stability & King Kev gets his job back. The Geordie fans wear their hearts on their sleeves & have clearly shown who they're backing !!

What is Paul Jewel doing still in a job? The board, at the time, sacked Billy Davies and replaced him with someone who is yet to win a league game and has been given millions to spend.

Oh dear! Oh dear! Oh dear! I wondered how long it would be before Chelsea fans (Brian Donegan) started moaning about Robinho going to Man City for the money. Sounds like a bit of jealousy or hypocrasy to me. Ok so you've won two league titles, the FA and league cups, but before your Russian Billionaire started out pricing everyone else you were nothing. Wrigh-Phillips, Shevchenko, Crespo, Sidwell, Ben-Haim, Ballack... the list is endless. They were all turned by the rubel. Before you say, yes United spend big but its cash generated by the club and fans not our owners.

Brian Donegan (Chelsea fan) says...
I think Robinho is a disgrace. Its so painfully obvious that he went for the money, given that he had said like five minutes before the deadline he wanted to go to chelsea. Already the similarties between city and chelsea are a Joke!!! City must remeber that chelsea have won the premier league twice, FA Cup, Carling cup and final of champions league. When they get that far then they can start talking. No chance of top 4 this year, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man U and Liverpool are too strong - city still have some medicore players lets not forget and will be too far behind by Jan. Good luck in the uefa cup Robinho you farce!!! Drogba will cut them down!!
