Laura Morris says...

I don't see how anyone could say that it's a surprise to see Fredrik Lindgren in the grand prix series this year. Would like to see the British boys do good aswell, but can't see them doing any better than the super Swede. In league racing, already got a few maximums, is beating the big boys every week and is currently third in the world and at 22 years old. "FAST FREDDIE" is soon to be a SGP winner and is a future world champion in the making. 15th, they're having a laugh!

Chris harris for me has put British speedway back on track. He never recieved any confidence boosters from the so called experts who critisized him constantly. He is the best rider on and off track to sell the sport to the British public, well done to sky sports for recognising this, invest in him you will get a return

Tim Greatley says...

Would love Scotty to do it, he's a brilliant rider but I can see it being one of the top 3. My preferred winner would be Leigh. He's been a brilliant servent to the sport and to think someone with that natural ability would never be world champion is a shame. Think it's gonna be very exciting this year though, got a feeling it'll go down to the last GP. Maybe even the last race that would be awesome!!!

Hope the Brits do it...tho...I always seem to think that Scottys set up is sometimes lacking in comparison to the top contenders ( ie Jason,Leigh and Niki)...just seems that way....Sometimes he gets it spot on and sometime not i'm afraid. No doubt about the skill and heart just seems to be missing that one thing.....C'mon Scotty please prove me wrong. Bombers time is coming too.

Matt Wales says...

Lets give the Brits some encouragement this season, Scotty Nicholls will do well and Bomber will continue to learn. Pederson and The Aussies will dominate for sure but we can look forward to a great season for all riders with loads of action, if the brits can win early GP's then who knows...C'mon Scotty and Bomber

Simon Bradshaw says...

It's Crumpy all the way this year now he is a Belle Vue man this season.

Posted 16:37 26th April 2008

Maureen Howard says...

I think Ncki will just retain his crown, but with Crump and Adams giving him a hard time. While I would like to see the British boys do well, I just don't think they will be challenging. On the other hand watch Hancock, this MAY be his swan song and he will want to go out on a 'high'.

Clifford Parr says...

No doubt that Scotty has the aggression and skill to do well particulary if his equipment is top notch. No doubt on the day he can beat them all. However I think he comes up short on track craft compared with the other serious GP contenders and unless he races with a bit more thought and patience then his speed and bravery wont quite be enough and most likely some self inflicted spills will go against him.

Mark Steffens says...

I have no doubt Scotty has the talent, but is his machinery up to it

Margaret Larn says...

if scotty can improve his starts he should do alot better this year,he needs to get some early wins in to build up his confidence.

Dave Francis says...

It would be great if Greg Hancock can still be there or thereabouts this year. A wonderful ambassador for the sport & the last tangible link to the memory of the great days of the Cradley Heathens. If only Dudley Council were as dedicated & professional....

Ian Muddell says...

would love to see one of the brits be world champion but think its between jason and leigh

Posted 17:53 24th April 2008

Dale Nixon says...

I think this year will be the best yet!!! i can't wait may the best man win!!! come on Leigh

Russell Buckley says...

Scott is overrated, he was shown up on all stages last year by Harris....however Harris is really struggling this year.Hans Andersen is the dark horse who rides most passionately

Posted 13:56 24th April 2008

Stephen Barker says...

I fully expect Scott to get his first GP win this year and be in with a chance of winning the whole thing, Harris may struggle though unfortunately. Crump must start as favourite and will be the man to beat although I think Adams must be in line for some luck so this year it could finally be his, he deserves it.

Posted 12:04 24th April 2008

Mike Powell says...

Would love to see Scotty do it this year, he deserves it after a long run of injury. We need to have an English World Champ again

Posted 10:58 24th April 2008

Lee Kilby says...

Fingers crossed that Super Leigh can do it this year. Hope the Brits challenge the big boys. Andreas could upset the lot!

Posted 10:00 24th April 2008

Stan Holloway says...

Scotty should do it this year,if he gets a GP win early he will get many more and the Crown .

Posted 09:20 24th April 2008

Frank Farmer says...

Nice preview - but I think this could be Scotty's year as long as he can get that first win he can get the better of Crumpy and Nicki.
