Just been reading the comments about Chelsea and Man City. Yes, Man City have the money to be on the same level as the top 4, but it's who they bring in, already a host of top players linked with City have ruled out moves. Robinho was a mug, he was in it for the money, and didn't even know where he was going. It appears Arsene Wenger is correct in saying money is killing football.

January transfer activities at White Hart Lane are dependent on us selling off the remaining players surplus to requirements. While Levy has made money available (£35m I believe), he wants the club to sell certain players on relatively decent wages. Stalteri is wanted by Wigan and Stoke and is available for £1m. Boateng is wanted by Birmingham on loan but Spurs want to sell and the player wants to return to Germany or go to Spain and at the moment Hamburg and Real Betis are both weighing up £3.5m bids. Ghaly will join either Blackburn or Bolton who are both said to prepared to match Tottenham's £3m valuation. Taarabt is going back to France for £1.5m to I think Saint Etienne. Rocha is returning to Portugal with Benfica looking to re-sign him for £2m and Assou-Ekotto and Gilberto are both being offered around for £2.5m and £1.5m respectively. Should all those sales go through and with the money from upstairs, Ramos' January transfer kitty will be £50m. Please Juande, if we're still in the predicament we're in now, would you please for the love of God, please sign a world-class defensive midfielder and another striker to give us more options up front.

Hernan Crespo will be snapped up by Tottenham in January on a short term deal in January. Why arent Tottenham trying to sign a player like Appiah ????,he'll give Giovani,Jenas and Modric more comfort in going forward. . . . . . . Tottenham will do nothing this season, its practically a different team to this time last year, first Jol goes than Berba and Keane,Levy is great at holding out for the money he wants, why doesnt he sell the club and start selling second hand cars he'd make a killing.Ramos needs time not money

Liverpool need width. Without two wide men we will never challenge in the league. Proof was at the weekend when everything went down the middle, no disrespect to Stoke City supporters, but its disappointing when we cant even break your lot down. I mean, Salif Diao plays for you, that says alot. I really cannot understand why Pennant has been dropped. The first half of last season Pennant was outstanding, then an injury kept him sidelined until the end of the season. Now his name doesnt even get a mention. Pennant is the only wide player at Livepool who will take people on and run with the ball, I wouldnt put him in the world class category but he is certainly better than the likes of Benayoun and Kuyt. Benayoun shouldnt even be playing Premiership football never mind playing for LFC. Kuyt works his socks off but there isnt any creativity or skill there. I understand why he is picked for european games away from home but i would never pick Dirk for premiership home games ever. Babel has promise but is far too inconsistant and Riera has little experience of premiership football. Gerrard could play out wide with Alonso and Javier in the middle, but then he is taken away from where he is most dangerous, in the middle of the park. Its rumoured Downing is on his way to Anfield, i hope he stays at Boro i dont rate him, especially when we could get Gamst Pederson for a similar price, maybe even cheaper. Could be a bad shout but what do people think about LFC re signng Heskey? With Crouch gone we now dont have a target man when things arent going our way. It is also rumoured LFC and EFC will battle it out for Owen come January, another player i hope doesnt come to Anfield. Owen is past it. Has been for 5 years. I would love to see Arteta at anfield, now that would be a signing.

Not sure about the Nigerian consortium that are planning the takeover bid, it has been said that they are trying to raise the additional £50/£100m that Mike 'I want to rip off the club I supposedly love' Ashley wants, however if this is the case that they are 'trying' to raise the extra cash then where does any further investment for Newcastle come from or paying off the so called debts that the club are in, beleive me I am all for getting Ashley out but is an investor that may not be able to invest without selling players the right choice !!

Thanks Dave C,of Sunderland, your spot on with your comments. Yes now city can compete with the top four, and they don't like because we are now on that level playing field that they have enjoyed for so long. Lets hope more can join us, so the premiership is no longer a four horse race

So Mike Ashley has been approached by a Nigerian consortium - presumably offering to make a large deposit into his bank if he supplies them with his account details. Reminds me of a well known email scam!

Liverpool are in talks to sign free agent Brazillian ace Ronaldo after his move to Man City fell through, he will sign a 2 year deal worth 3 million. people may say he isnt as fit as what he was but you fail to realise that liverpool have the best reputation for getting players fit. Ronaldo,Torres and Keane, what a strike force.the league title is finally coming home to Anfield

Mike Ashley is not the problem at newcastle, its the fans!! Keegan himself admitted that he had not seen a football game for 3year before he came back to newcastle, so why would you let him dictate which players to bring in!!!

Steve Thompson (Arsenal fan) says...
Why is it that nearly every Arsenal fan who has left a msg recently wanted Wenger to sign Appiah? He was at Fenerbache and then released on a free for a reason. Just another average midfielder. Lets just see how we cope until January because I believe we will be top by then and even further away from our rivals than last season. And lets face it - it was a a man who lost his foot which lost us the title!!! The football we play is the best the world has ever seen and the way the club is run on and off the pitch is admirable and puts all of these foreign investors to shame. And where did Theo come from??? He was average up until he scored that hat-trick and now he looks like Henry2. We don't need any more signings - Senderos gone equals premiership heading our way! Get in Arsene!!!

Bill Bailey (Derby County fan) says...
Claude Davis, Derby's Jamaican defender, is in talks with Sheffield United about a return on loan to Bramall Lane. This is the reason he has missed the last two Rams matches, not the official 'knee injury' suggested.

This DIC rumour of them now going for Newcastle is concerning for Reds fans. My suspicions have been confirmed, they have indeed given up on Hicks(who simply refuses to sell but is dragging our club behind), and are now looking elsewhere. A message to DIC, please DO NOT give up hope. C'mon you Reds!!!

I cant believe Wenger he could of got S.Appiah for FREE but no. He is the only person who thinks Arsenals squad is big enough i dont think were gonna win the PL and CL with the players we've got there too young. I still trust Wenger but for how long i dont know

Miidlesbrough currently are of the interest of the swiss based company Red Bull. Red Bull currently own clubs SV Salzburg and MLS side New York Red Bulls, and the firm are looking to extend their football profile and establish a foothold within the Premier League. However, Red Bull are not looking to take over the club but rather provide a much needed cash injection into Middlesbrough which would involve major sposorship and rebranding. Hence, Red Bull Middlesbrough!

Its time for Sheikh to move in to buy Liverpool FC from the American owner. They have lost their director with liverpool. All other clubs are improving but these amex are stalling all the good work and planning that Mr Rafa is doing for club. Its not that they will be loosing any money over this deal but will be richer. I strongly well come Mr Sheikh to buy over LFC with his own money or through his investment agency. He should not come in has a relief but buy over for the love and his of LFC.
