Glenn McCrory believes Carl Froch's clash with Andre Ward will prove to be the fight of the year.Back to story
Oakland isn't as tough as it used to be and ward ain't all that - he hasnt got the style or the personality to become a boxing megastar but still unfortunately think he'll have enough to beat froch on points

I have to agree Glenn. I cannot wait and have looked forward to this for months and it amazes me all of my 'boxing mates' seem to be giving it a miss. It hasn't really got that superstar appeal just yet but its going to be epic. Like yourself, i think Ward is just that much better than Froch unfortunately. Having said that, i love Ward and have followed his career since near the start so i'm actually not too fussed who wins. Both fighters will suffer from the 'Calzaghe factor' in that division though because its not one of the marquee divisions and a very hard division to become a superstar in and its an awkward one. You cannot really cut weight and make Middleweight and they are all abit too small to make Light Heavyweight. However, all you can do is beat the people in front of you and beat everyone in your division at the end of the day and i think Ward is going to do that for a while to come. Don't quite know where both fighters will go after this though. Hopefully a rematch if it turns out to be as good as it could!
