Floyd Mayweather playing mind games with Amir Khan, says Glenn McCrory

Despite asking fans to vote for his opponent on Twitter, I think Floyd Mayweather knows exactly who he will fight next: Amir Khan.

I really cannot understand why people think Khan's speed will cause Mayweather problems, he has seen every style and dealt with it. Khan's speed didnt pose too many problems for Julio Diaz, who had Khan in trouble in the final round so I disagree that Khan will trouble Mayweather. If Prescott, Garcia and Peterson were able to counter the speed of Khan then Mayweather, who has proven he is on a different playing field, will have no issues. Khan hasn't fought at Welterweight, hasn't won convincingly for what is now quite an extended period of time, has been blown away in a number of recent fights and doesn't come with any great KO power. If Khan does fight Mayweather he has been given the opportunity to do so thanks to Golden Boy's stature as the number one promotional company and the fact that the UK Boxing fans will flock to Vegas and increase the revenue that's genreated. Hopefully when Khan has been humbled by Mayweather he can start his rebuidling process in the UK by taking on Kell Brook who could well be a world champion by then, a fight between the two of them in the UK would be huge and I'd be backing Brook to win that encounter regardless of Khan's speed.

Khan will be knocked out whenever Mayweather chooses because he cannot see left hooks coming. Floyd's check left hook is superb and he hit Ricky Hatton with the same shot. Khan's jab is solid but he fights in straight lines and Floyd will slip and slide before a counter left hand finishes this in R3 or R4.
