Excellent piece. As a loyal boxing fan I feel this year has been good in some ways but dissapointing in others. I have been happy to see David Haye improving as he has into a heavyweight however am extremley dissapointed that he is not fighting one of the Kilitschos next expecially after all the talking he has done about them. Amir Khan has improved again under Freddie Roach and I believe will take out Maidana/Marquez in November. As far as Mayweather Pacquiao goes this fight simply needs to take place. The UFC in mma is putting on fights that everyone wants to see between their worlds best and boxing needs to do this or unfortunately the UFC will take over in combative sports as the most popular I feel. Great blog very fair and covered most of the main points. Keep up the good work

Excellent blog Adam. Andre Ward- Andre Dirrell should be a very interesting fight on september 25th. They are both very much in the mould of jones jr and hopkins styleistically and both not even in their physical peak yet. With the format of the super six they could easily meet again next year too. Should be fascinating to see if Ward can impose his awesome inside game on dirrell. For the first time, Ward is probably facing someone who is faster than himself, but Ward has impeccabe timing and a high ring iq and i think more often than not he will beat Dirrell to the punch.
