I think Spurs should do all they can to retain Berbatov for at least one more season. He has two years left on his contract so in theory he could be sold after next season for a great profit while also helping Spurs push for Champions League qualification. Who knows, perhaps Spurs will deliver on their ambition and finish in the top four next season which may even cause Berbatov to extend his contract? Just look at other top teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Barcelona - a wealth of the highest calibre talent and money still does not yield silverware every season!

It would be a great shame if Berba goes cos he is top quality. I will say that he does play when he fancies it though, but that is cos of his undoubted talent. Ramos should go and get Peter Crouch. He is not as classy as Berba, but he works hard, has got great technique, can hold a ball up, is good in the air and scores goals. Personally, I think he is under-rated !!! Eto would be a good signing too.....they still need anothe Centre Half too !!! C'Mon the Spurs !!!!

I'm not a Spurs fan, though my sister is and she loves Berbatov and was crestfallen when she found out he was going but if Ramos sells him to United or Chelsea it would be the best as you know the old United and Chelsea rule, Double the players value and add on another half :D, but I think Spurs will do just fine with out him, good luck

Eto + cash would be a good replacement for Berba. i am sure Ramos will lead us to a top 4 finish, i hope we keep hold of Bent as he has started to look good for us and i would rather him playing for us than against us. Come on the yids.

All the talk is about Berbatov - for me, Keane is a far more valuable player and his heart is in Spurs as well. The money for berbatov will need to be used to bolster the defence and midfield, and perhaps pick up a young english striker for back up if Bent or Keane get injured. Modric was a fantastic buy - a very highly rated player in my books and we can only get better.

It was innevitable that Berbatov would leave this summer he will be a massive loss to the club as he is truly a world class player and has been a joy to watch over the past 2 years. However, as good as he can be he clearly no longer wants to be at the lane, as his performances since the carling cup have shown. What is key to the club is that an adequate replacement is brought in to partner Keane as Darren Bent is nowhere near that level. I think a possible swap deal + cash for Etoo would be ideal as, although different to berbatovs style, he would compliment keane dropping off him. David Villa would be a dream, although i think Madrid will beat us to him and Aguero has pledged his future to Atletico. I struggle to think of many more players in Berbas class that would either be interested, available or in our price range. Lets hope Ramos and the board can pull it out the bag! It should be an interesting summer.

I think spurs should offer Berbatov for Eto that way he wont be playing against us next season and we get a quality replacement, I would also like to see Bent stay as over the last few months he is looking like the player he was at Charlton, would love to see us get 4th above Arsenal and prove that young english players get you somewhere in the prem.

If Berbatov wants to go let him Robbie Keane is more important to us use the money from Berba well and we will get 4th. At least with Keane you know he will give 100% every game Berba is far to lazy Darren Bent needs a chance you dont become a bad player over night

Berbatov is quality a player but doesn't have enough pace. Spurs should let him go and should give Darren Bent a chance to settle in. Darren's got plenty of strength and pace and a is a proven goal scorer. I reckon if he is given regular 1st team football he will do well.
