Luke Reed (Crystal Palace fan) says...

Hi Martin, great column as always, After seeing Grant Holt scoring twice before his red card, I was wondering if any player has been sent off after bagging a hat trick?

After watching the Manchester United vs Fulham game, I noticed that Fulham's defence literally blocked/intercepted every shot, I want to know how much did they block and whats the record for this season?

Carl Williams (Coventry City fan) says...

HI Martin, being a Coventry City fan I've had to endure "Houdini" escape acts on a regular basis, and it seems possibly again. My question is this. Which team in the top two tiers has managed to escape relegation when all seems to be lost i.e in relegation zone most of season or bottom at Christmas. I've a feeling its The mighty Sky Blues, but not positive!

Shane Wright (Rotherham United fan) says...

I'm not surprised that none of these players have been called up. Mediocre at best. We should be taking steps forwards, not back.

Isn't it the funniest that its always the Arsenal fans that cry about penalties! Especially funny to see them top on the list of teams that have "won" penalties. I think it was last season when an Arsenal fan cried about the amount of players being sent off against United until opta pointed out that Arsenal had more players sent off against them than any other team. Classic. Good work opta.

Nick Jones (Manchester United fan) says...

Richard Boyes (Arsenal fan) what a silly @@@@ you must feel!! Not only have Arsenal been given more penalties than Utd (overall and at home), but they have also faced 10 or less men teams the most (by some whopping 39 times more than Utd) yet they still haven't been able to dominate the EPL like Utd.

El Kelm (Arsenal fan) says...

Dear Martin love the column After Arsenal beat Everton away on Wednesday night this meant they have beaten both Merseyside clubs this year in Liverpool. Apart arsenal this year have any other teams managed to do this. Also interesting Arsenal lost both times in Manchester has any other team in a season won the maximum points in Liverpool against the two clubs and gained no points in Manchester against the Manchester clubs two clubs. Many Thanks El

Seyi Taiwo (Manchester United fan) says...

Good job Martin. How ironic that an Arsenal fan asked the questions on most penalties. It has been a myth and now we see the team that gets the most calls. Thanks for the 4 at Old Trafford too.

Billy B (Tottenham Hotspur fan) says...

Dear Martin, enjoy your stats every week. I was watching Tottenham against Stoke on Wednesday and noticed the large amount of set pieces taken place with no goals, something that I've seen alot with Tottenham. Could you tell me who in the PL has the lowest conversion rate from set pieces? thanks!

William Barber (Norwich City fan) says...

I have been told that Darren Huckerby is the only player to score in League 2, League 1, Championship, Premier League, AutoWindscreen Cup, League Cup, FA Cup, UEFA Cup and Champions League (or equivalents) - is that rue?

Stuart Dawson (Manchester United fan) says...

"One guess, I wonder what team it could be? And how many were given at Old Trafford, sorry I meant to say at home. Richard Boyes (Arsenal fan)" haha oh dear it would seem you were wrong, who was it? surly not the Arsenal haha

Roger Chalk (Southampton fan) says...

martin, bearing in mind the lack of real goal scoring talent for england, especially as mr.rooney is suspended for 2 games,do you not think stuart pearce maybe should have toyed with the idea of giving ricky lambert a go against holland. maybe im biased as a saints fan,but compared to who did play, well i think he could give them a run for their money? what do you think roger chalk
